I hope this woman can go the legal route. Tana has and will never learn to be humane to anyone. Her karma is adding up and it won’t be pretty. I live in the largest state in the US and have only dreamt of being able to go to another country. It takes 7 hours to get to another large city in Texas. It’s ridiculous and honestly a bummer. So many people I know would literally go to great lengths to be able to visit other countries and just smell the air of another place. Like, if you simply respect people who are just doing their jobs, life is instantly easier for everyone. Funny, bc those same bratty kids would call teachers by their first names to try to minimize their authority, and Tana shouting “CYNTHIA” over and over gives me flashbacks. My feet were absolutely destroyed and it was worth it. A 10km walk in a picturesque small town with a promise of good wine and a lunch is literally a breeze. And she paid for it, too 🤣 why didn't she check what she was signing up to do? I feel like we're talking about some 14-year-old who's forced by their parents to participate in an educational tour. She could've left the train and turned right back and waited for another train, and then spent 500 USD on wine in Paris instead. The whole situation blows my mind, it's so so stupid.

I highly suspect that she wasn’t intending her words the way Tana took them. What she probably meant by not liking “girls like her” is that in France in general, being rich & entrepreneurial isn’t put on a pedestal like in America. Their world doesn’t revolve around money the same way ours does. An American winery would consider a visit by an influencer like Tana to be a huge opportunity, & they’d literally pour wine down her throat if that’s what she wanted. All they’d care about is getting that IG endorsement from her, which would be life changing since she has millions of followers. But in France, most people just don’t operate that way. The culture is different. The UK is more like us, & Germany is somewhere in the middle. Tana just took offense & made a wild story time over harmless comments that she should’ve listened to & bettered herself
@Olivia-bl8ez Жыл бұрын
I was born in America but lived in Europe for a few years. whenever I was really homesick I’d go to France because I LOVED their attitude. They do have a bit of a “we’re better than you and we know it” attitude. A bit more subtle than Americans. But it still reminded me of home and I loved it. I hope everyone can be proud of where they are from. you’d think Tana would be super used to this attitude living around influencers in LA. That’s a level I cant even handle. I never saw the French as rude, just proud of where they are from and proud of their customs. If you just take the smallest interest in their culture and language, they will be super nice in my experience. And that’s what you go to France for isn’t it? To experience the French’s culture and customs.
@purrgundy Жыл бұрын
@scarletsletter4466 As a French person, I wholeheartedly agree with your statement. From what she's described, Tana has been extremely disrespectful to the tour guide (putting on headphones instead of listening to the information about wine, and then complaining non-stop for 12 hours because she's not drunk yet? It would drive anyone crazy) And that's not taking into account the fact that she's been yelling at her (allegedly)... SMH. Being an influencer from L.A. is already a red flag because of the entitlement "girls like her" (aka spoiled brats) show and how out of touch they generally are with the real world of real people. Seriously, who goes on a wine tour to get shitfaced and then insults the guide for doing her job? She's lucky she was still near Paris where people are used to rudeness. Had she been in the deep countryside, she would've been shovelling horse shit for 24h to make her learn about life lol

You know what's funny is that that actually reminds me of the first video I ever watched of hers, had to be around early 2016, because I had NEVER heard of her in my life. I didn't really watch storytime content but like we all remember that time when it was everywhere. My sister and I were watching stuff and we saw on the side some kind of like "Petco psycho story" and for shits and giggles we clicked on it. I feel the need to mention that my sister and I are also within a year of Tana in age so there was no huge maturity difference; we were teenagers watching a teenager. But she told a story about how her dog needed to be groomed because he looked "literally homeless" and the two of us just paused the video and were like "geez well that's insensitive." And then she continued to talk about how stupid the girl grooming her dog at Petco was and how rude to her and exaggerating stuff and clearly lying, but also in the way she described her own actions it was like... clearly Tana was being the rude one anyway, even if everything she claimed about the other person was true. And we kept pausing it to rant about how stupid this girl was, why were we recommended this video? Lol. And that was a hot minute before she was the notorious problematic megainfluencer she became, but after that one taste of her content I was like. Hmmm I don't think I like her attitude. Funny how she's still basically doing the same shit in a different form.

The fact Tana is so riled up about the the tour guide saying "maybe only the civilized people should have a drink" right after her friend Paige had literally made a joke insinuating that they're all uncivilized is just wild to me 😂 I feel like Cynthia was more than likely just adding to the joke - maybe deadpan, and definitely at the expense of the friend group but Tana's openly made them out to look like whiney, entitled brats. I'd be playing off that to the other people on my tour FOR SURE. And Paige already decided to be the butt of the joke when she pretended to down the bottle! Lolol, this whole thing is just laughable. As someone who used to provide wine tours, I will say that there is a reason we say no to bachelorette parties and social drinking parties. There is a lot of time and effort that goes into being a wine professional that people take for granted. Additionally, wineries are farms--especially in Europe. Guests need to make sure they are dressed appropriately and open to learn a little while drinking wine. If you just want to get drunk then just go to a bar or stay home, easy solution. Thank you for your take on this.

I recently had the amazing opportunity to go on a much smaller wine tour in Mendoza (Argentina). It was just two cellars and it was unbelievably entertaining. We did not get drunk, but tasted a bunch of very good wine, learned a lot of fun stuff, and saw a bunch of beautiful places. I honestly pity Tana for being so ignorant she cannot enjoy the opportunities her fortune gives her. I wonder if she has a drinking problem. I'm serious - I've never heard of someone being that angry about not being drunk.

I don’t drink but even I know that wine tours and tastings aren’t meant for you to party and get drunk. Her co host seems to be there just to agree with whatever Tana says. I think Tana needs to stay away from alcohol altogether. She was doing really well when Jeff got her to stop drinking and doing drugs. And when she was on the H3 podcast both times she seemed to be in a good place in her life without all of the partying. Now she’s drinking and what not again, and went back on her word when it comes to James Charles and is friends with him again. Which her supporting James Charles after everything she’s said about him and acknowledged he’s done is insane. I really do hope she grows as a person and realizes that certain things aren’t good for her. She’s surrounded by yes men and as long as that’s the case then I don’t think things will change unfortunately.

If that was met with grief, then maybe I would be a little upset, but throwing a fit and brooding and going into it negatively was definitely not going to get anyone on your side. It sounds to me like Cynthia was trying to include Tana to give her a better experience, and I think her being upset about Tana’s rudeness was justified. I am in the middle-ish of the U.S., Denver CO, and I would love for someone to send me to France. I'm tea total also, but if I ended up on a wine tour I'd try to appreciate it. I'd like to take a long weekend in New Mexico and just read and eat Indian food for a few days, and I can't make it happen. Not financially, but my manager at work is retiring, my mom is increasingly forgetful and my dad and step mom increasingly physically frail. If you have the priviledge of international travel, don't stay up all night, show up hungover, ignore all of the info about shoes/walking and ruin a wine tour for everyone else.

If we had the chance to travel a winery in France, most of us would be extremely grateful and wouldn’t behave this way. In the description of the tour, it actually details that Cynthia would talk to them about the history on the train, it says how far the walk is and to wear good sturdy shoes, it doesn't say there's food on the train, and it's actually very detailed in what will happen/what to expect/how to prepare. It's insane to me that they would sign up for such a big tour (pretty sure it lasts like 10hrs or something along those lines) and expect a quick golf cart ride to a air conditioned building to Chug some wine and eat cheese. It says exactly what to expect🤣🤷♀️
