I like the idea of using all those hooks and clips. It'd make things so much easier. And I'm glad you are happy with your Tanami. We only have the X11 so a lot less room inside. But we go for the outdoors anyway so happy with what we got. And that privacy sheet is way better than the one we put together. As for the TV antenna on ours, it'd make a good paper weight. Great work guys. Happy travels.

Just ordered the Tanami X15NB. I am enjoying the videos. Delivery date is December (our choice). That’s when I will have a few weeks to play with it.

great review mate. i was looking at one of these but it would of been too heavy for my patrol to tow. thanks for the video mate loved it.
@tessa48833 жыл бұрын
Do you happen know the maximum weight a patrol can tow? What kind of caravan or trailer or you looking at for the patrol?
@Johnnywraphood3 жыл бұрын
@@tessa4883 hey Susan the patrol is rated for 3t. I wanted something lighter then 2t. I went with a lifestyle campers iconn. It doesn’t have all the nice things inside like these do. But it’s a light weight off road van which won me over. I do a review of it on my channel if you are interested.

Great video , we also have one of these . We have had ours for 18 months and as you said only mild problems that were easily fixed. Love it!! Can you please tell me about the incorrectly stamped rims.
@scottnuffinadventures2 жыл бұрын
Thanks, yes totally agree with the minor things and you get that with anything you buy. Our rims were stamped with incorrect weights (less then what it should have been), Cheers

Hi, I loved your video on your modifications to the van, could you give me some information on those Shock Absorbers please, they sound great. Oh by the way, are they the original springs that came on the van or did you replace the springs as well as the shocks? Thanking you and kind regards, Bob. 👍😀
@scottnuffinadventures2 жыл бұрын
Hi Bob yes they are the original springs all I have changed are the shocks to Sachs Max ones which are to suit early model landcruisers. They definitely firmed it up and it tows like a dream. If you would like to know anything else just let me know. Thanks Cory
@remoteflyboy2 жыл бұрын
@@scottnuffinadventures Hi Cory, thank you for your fast reply, I really appreciate it, those Shocks certainly are a big improvement on the stock ones that come with the van, thanks again for the information. Look forward to watching more of your videos, take care, Bob. 👍😀

Great video guys! We have just ordered a Tanami x15B as well! Can’t wait! Just curious what you used for the additional shelving? Did you just go the usual white melamine from Bunnings as used in home kitchens or something lighter?

Can I ask what the products name is that you used to re-seal the toilet?

We originally used a Loctite product from bunnings but that has come loose so I have removed all the original silicone and have just used a bathroom and shower sealant from bunnings

What are the specification in the availabe up a grade in the electrical system
@scottnuffinadventures2 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure what Austrack have available from the factory but I have upgraded our battery to a 200ah Enerdrive B-tech lithium battery. The rest of the system is standard which consists of a 2000w Enerdrive Inverter and a 40amp 240v Enerdrive battery charger and a Renogy 30amp solar controller. I will be changing out the solar controller for a DCDC charger with dual inputs so I can run the power coming from the car and the solar panels through it. Ours also has 300w of solar on the roof. I hope this answers your question.
@grahamowen71522 жыл бұрын
@@scottnuffinadventures thanks for your comment I'm not by any means electric cluey they have fac, sandard readers 2w pure sinewave Inv, with remote switch Redarc Man, 30, complete Batt,Man,and charging system (the up grade I think is change Batt, to Lithium) your turn thanks Scott cheers Graham

So the moral of the story do not purchase an Austrack Tanami Camper, because if they can't get the important services right then how long will it take for the side walls to fall out.....

Great video, I have a similar problem when connected to mains 240v. How did you find its the relay. Did you disconnect the charger?
@clintonmorris19452 жыл бұрын
Hi I just bought a second hand x13. My mains pressure valve is hooked to the truma HWS and the mains has been disconnected. Just wondering if I may have same issue as you had. Was your mains pressure value also hooked up to the truma as I can see in your video it's now on the mains inlet
@scottnuffinadventures2 жыл бұрын
Ours was plumbed incorrectly and the one way valve was in the wrong place causing the water to run straight out the pressure relief valve when connected to mains pressure
@clintonmorris19452 жыл бұрын
@@scottnuffinadventures thanks for the reply but im trying to work out did you move the pressure relief valve to the current location off of the truma HWS inlet.

Great video. Question... how did you damage the bed side walls? I had seen similar damage on an Austrack x15 in a carvan park. Is there something rubbing up against it when drivng?
@scottnuffinadventures2 жыл бұрын
It's rubbing from Driving, we've noticed Austrack have now fixed this problem on the current models, we've had to do it ourselves at our own cost instead

We would love to buy something completely Australian made but our budget couldn't stretch that far and there is no true Fully Australian made van anyway. The fitout for the Tanami is still done in Australia by an Australian company so we are still supporting Australia.
