The most complex and finest ship I have made in Highfleet didnt had enough escape pods. It was around 89%. So, some would have remained on board anyway. But the problem was different. There was nothing in the game able to take down that ship. 3 layers of armor and tons of guns, missiles and a shitload of countermeasures. It was a copy of the Autumn-class cruiser from Halo after all. 😎 Some scratches here and there, but the ship was flying in one single piece till the last scrap of the enemy fell to the ground.

How much did it cost? I dont think it's impossible to HAVE such a design... I just dare to doubt that it's going to be remotely affordable/viable, as at one point the thrust to weight ratio and the fuel consumption will be so bad that you will either burn through 100k of fuel alone before making 1000km or that you will crawl at a snail's pace at less than 40km/h.

@@MajorCoolD indeed it was not affordable at all. I just wanted to play a big ship for once. You know? For fun. The reality is that "smaller is better". At least in campaign. The perfect ship should be smaller enough but still able to carry enough guns to face most of the medium-small ships and enough fuel tuo run faster here and there. Many players have even tried to substitute Sevastopol cruiser with something smaller, more agile, more fit for such theater of operations. Even tank ships and sensor ships are in a sort of "evolutionary race" to be smaller and faster, in order to strike and run. That's the reality of this game. Mostly because with limited resources one can't afford the expanse of lose a big ship while making a small one from scraps is easier and more efficient. It can be done everywhere on the map and can do the job.

Needless to say, we did all this to the orchestra of artillerymen from both sides and that we were shaking. We were shaking not only because of the impulses of the hit, but also because of the realization that we were in the center of a fiery monster and that an accidental hit could cause an explosion and we would all go to Hell here (No one would let us go to heaven). I, along with the rest, sealed the leaks that were available to us, emergency ventilation could not cope. These minutes lasted an eternity, I felt someone else's tension as the ship descended on the radioactive sand and soon we felt a collision from which some of us collapsed to the floor. We did not even dream of a soft landing with supports, because it was useless to sit on the sand with them, they need a hard surface. A minute after the landing, the guns finally died down, which meant that the battle was over and another detachment could be expected for emergency repairs and flight to the nearest city. we extinguished the fires and blocked the pipes, the methane stopped heating up and soon the arrows on the sensors returned to the field of view of the marks. I omitted a lot in this story, but I think that your readers will be bored hearing about regular soldiers who tried to pray to everyone and sundry. God I love this game. Favourite run was with all custom ships, basically a carrier/sensor flagship, a battleship, and an interceptor squadron to chase down cargo ships and hit garrisons. God I loved my battleship; basically an armoured cube with 8 molots, all with full 360 degree arcs of fire, absolutely tore through anything it came across
