I haven't been watching the series lately but found myself falling back in love after hearing about Varian's fall. After watching this episode, I went back and watched Varian's story. My theory is that knowing Cassandra is adopted, she could possibly be related to Varian. It may be possibly her father is in that amber. Also she touched the reverse incantation & burned her hand, placing armor on herself to stop the pain. We don't know what she saw in that room, it may be possible her arm is the cause of her family.

The wedding was suppose be to set after the series because *SPOLIER ALERT* at through the episodes eugene has tried to propose to rapunzel so that means they weren’t married, also the fact her hair is short again is because at the finale it turns brown again and the reason why cassandra wasn’t there is she has turned good again but decided to live her own life so thats why she wasn’t there Edit: if my answer is wrong then the series just wasn’t created yet so they didnt put them in

the entire series has already been written so I can’t really have a say in anything but they should make Cass the main antagonist for the third season, and recruit Varian to replace her (sort of) for the season, since a large portion of the audience wants a redemption arc for him, and he is very skilled, so he’s make a good sidekick. (Also, everyone wanted Moon Varian, but *noooo* they just *had* to give that all to Cass.)
