This looks like ballroom dancing to me …. I am used to Argentinian closed embrace in tango . Is this some other kind of tango I don’t know about ? I’m really curious

Yes, this is ballroom tango and is used also in dance sport competitions.

Dancing is my favorite sport to watch. Dancers are athletic and have beautiful bodies in my opinion. You two are so smooth and lovely. I don't know much about this dance and I can't help but wonder what is the idea behind the head stance. The looking away as if not to even notice their partner. What's the story if any?

Thank you for appreciating this video. Your question is interesting. In ballroom tango, the dancers sometimes look directly at each other, but rarely in the basic figures. This is probably how the story of the love-hate relationship is portrayed.
