Thank you. Fundamentals such as these are great to start with and revisit regularly. The two of you make me think you're enjoying yourselves!!

Excellent lesson! I loved what you explained about being aware of where your balance is if you want to lead whole notes. Great tip, even though it’s obvious.

Is this channel dead? I really miss these two wonderful teachers 😟? Or are updates taking place exclusively in Patreon instead? Best, Stefan

❤ Very helpful video! I loved what you said about not being a slave to the music. I have not searched yet, but do you have a video demonstrating how to dance to faster songs using all of these techniques? ❤

Your videos are amazing. I have tried now to pay you on Venmo three times weeks apart. Each time it asked for the last four digits of your phone. You deserve it and I'd love to contribute.

There is a way to add something to ALL descriptions for ALL of your videos. I know because I have a channel. Maybe you should put that in there. Or maybe it's there and I didn't see.

“Whoever came up with this 8-count basic…” Juan Carlos Copes taught using this system and is credited for it. Along with Maria Nieves they popularized Tango all around the world from the 1960’s onward. Two important names to remember if you truly love Tango.

hmmm… when you are demonstrating…would you say that is the 3-3-2…the suspension after the 2?
@lstangueralstanguera90342 жыл бұрын
would you say : moving/transferring the 1-3-5-7 and the arriving/standing foot pressing to floor is 2-4-6-8?
@notmynameg13493 ай бұрын
I think you can do that but it’s not always so even as that, with the former having all the accents sometimes taking more time, and then the latter arriving after 2-4-6-8

The 5 is the crossing do woman
@tangokaleidos1926 Жыл бұрын
not necessarily. It all depends. Crosses should never be done automatically. The basic 8 step was invented in the 80's as a method for teaching, not as a rule for dancing. There are no fixed steps or sequences in Tango.

For the first time, I do not agree with Patricio and Eva. True, the whole journey takes eight times. But if you listen to tango music, you will notice that there is a "coma" at the fourth time - which is the right time for the cross of the lady. So you either skip the back step of the leader, in order to count 1-2-3-4 then 5-6-7-8, like the music, or take you back step during the preceding 8th or shortly after, a sort of counter tempo, but before the first step..
