@@kevinmontoya43 The point of Tango's idea is to keep the bar graph to scale. You'll still have a numeric representation on the sign, but with Tango's concept you'll always see easily and from afar: higher bar = higher score. Bar twice as high, twice the score. And I must say, I do like that. The top being reached will be a rare occasion as well, and can be made into an event whenever it happens. Reaching a score so high that you'll cut the height of everyone's bar in half must also be absolutely satisfying and rewarding.

Hey Tango! I don't often write comments, but I figured I might throw in my hat for this. I love seeing your work on these big projects (especially the original Decked Out) and would love to help if at all possible. I'm a semi-professional voice actor and know that you're planning to have a narrator for this iteration of Decked Out, so if you're looking for a voice outside of your own to use I'd be happy to lend mine (for no cost at all, this just something I'd do for fun). You'd mentioned a Mortal Kombat style announcer voice, which is something I can do quite well, in addition to other deep, menacing voices if you're looking for something more unique. Let me know if you're at all interested and if so what the best way to contact you is. Regardless, keep up the great work! Seeing a new Tango video in my feed is always a pleasant surprise, so thank you for doing what you do.

I will agree that DO2 will be amazing but I want to say that DO1 was no small thing either, which I like better than that prank. At this point I like Docm77’s arrow better which travels 2000 blocks per tick. Which kills any player or mob instantly and destroys an entire set of netherite armour in the process.

@@Nephelangelo Eh, not really. It’s just some data packs that allow for custom models on carved pumpkins, and custom sounds in music discs. Still considered vanilla
@Nephelangelo
@Nephelangelo Жыл бұрын
Except that it’s entirely a modification. Data Packs are just surface level mods that Mojang chose to support in game. Even if it doesn’t change the functionality of the gameplay, no actual block in Minecraft moves this way, and the 32x32 pixels makes it feel totally out of place. It looks like a mod, feels like a mod, it’s a visual mod in every way, and it waters down the immersion of vanilla gameplay.
@daseptictank
@daseptictank Жыл бұрын
@@Nephelangelo Incorrect. It’s not a block moving. As tango shows, it’s just armor stands flowing to the left and right in water, wearing essentially a reskinned pumpkin on their head. Sure, the resolution is more than Minecraft is Vanilla. But that doesn’t make this a mod. It’s not even enough to be a texture pack. It’s a data pack, exactly as it claims. Tango just used it brilliantly

And I think the basic idea does fit into the game. I could see such doors (of course with less intricate graphics) added for special boss or treasure rooms. A door like this at the entrance of end portal rooms, in the base of the ancient city portal structure thingie or in jungle temples wouldn't feel out of place to me.

No need to change the entire scale. If someone reaches the top then add a new block. Maybe Packed Ice or something. 1 piece of packed ice means they have gone all the way to the top once. Then place additional snow layers over the packed ice if they gain more points.
