The Octogon has an automatic restocking system. If people put their payments in the barrel above, instead of the shulker with the product, the system will detect that the shulker is empty, break it and replace it with a full one.

@@mightyhulk1483 You can't pay in the shulker, it has to be completely empty to trigger the automatic replacement. They have heaps of deepslate ready to go but it isn't restocking because the shulker isn't empty.

@@Sh3phrd in docs video he puts in a couple blocks to substitute as diamonds to demonstrate how it would work if they payed in there. I think a comparator checks the amount of slots filled, so if about half of them are empty it would still trigger. But, they sell them 1 for 1 so it still reads as full. I think they could re market them so hermits pay in stacks of diamonds instead of singular to fix it

@@mightyhulk1483 a comparator checks a shulker box for 124 items that can stack to 64 to send out a signal strength of two. A signal strength of one only requires 1 item that stacks to 64 to be in the shulker. Doc's video clearly shows a shulker box with only 20 items in it not being replaced. If the shulker got replaced when the comparator detected less than 124 items there is the chance that anything the hermits put in the shulker while making their purchase could be taken accidentally by the replacement system the moment there are less than 124 stackable items in it. Which would be a bad system.

1. Octagon should auto refill but people are putting payment in the wrong spot. Should go in the barrel above the shulker 2. You underpaid for deepslate at the g train 3. The villagers can still take damage if they get into bed before hitting the water when falling. When they leave the bed they take damage in that case

The payment is supposed to go into the barrels above the shulkers at the octagon. The shulkers automatically replenish when they're emptied, but because people are paying in the shulkers the system is getting backed up.

Round about a year ago, something had changed in Tango's videos. I couldn't say, what exactly, but the videos are so positive, so full of joy and for this last year, Tango seems like a heavy load is taken off his back. Within a year his videos became my new favorites, even pushing Cub back to #2 and BDubs to #3. Whatever it was, Tango, stick to the new Tango. He's cool!

So I built this iron farm from what I could see in previous episodes. Had the same issue with villagers dying. What I found was they were occasionally waking up with their head in the side dispenser, and taking a tick of suffocation damage. Moving the dispensers up one block and putting glass in its place took care of it. No more deaths.

Octagon shops, the coins go in the barrel, if the hermits keep putting their coins in the shulker it won't refresh with a new shulker. Yes it is an auto swapper, but the shulker need to be empty.

I think the cave would look great with a vein or two of calcite surrounding smooth quartz. Just something to accent and break up all of the same color. Sort of the idea of calcite veins that we've seen in the 1.18 snapshots. Just a thought for a little bit of detail. :) Edit: or even a little bit of diorite to give the vein a little bit of a dirtier look to it. Edit2: perhaps the veins could be incorporated as your paths inside. A more natural and organic look for a path along with it being both functional and aesthetic.

this is kinda late advice, but but you can add hale bales under campfires to make the smoke rise up even further. adding that in to a few campfires would add a bit of detail I think, preventing all the smoke columns from being uniform

I've done a somewhat similar industrial scale basalt generator on my brother's realm before, and a simpler way to do it is to attach the blue ice blocks to the sticky pistons and push the basalt with that I also did two layers of generators on three sides with each one generating basalt on its own layer for a total of 6 layers all generating at once. Hook the whole thing to a short hopper clock and put it within range of a haste beacon and it generates basalt faster than my collection system can handle it (although you need to make sure to break the lower layers to let the higher layers fall down.)

Hi Tango, i love the progress on fifis cave. But for the deepslate: the octagon wasnt empty. If people payed in the barrel above as intended, the system eould detect that the shulker is empty and replace it with a new one, as long as there are new ones (indicated by a redstone lamp). If that lamp is off there are no more filled shulkers. So for the future you could move the wrongly placed payment to the payment barrel above and the shulker will get replaced

Tango, I don't remember if its you or doc that don't like TNT dupers but you could automate your basalt farm. Basalt has a blast resistance of 4.2 and compare that to cobblestone that has a blast resistance of 6 you could automate it and fill up tons of chests (maybe make it togglable too to stop lag from happening).

If you take everything out of the shulker at octagon and put it in the hanging barrel where it's supposed to go another shulker of cobbled deepslate will appear. They have like 8 shulkers of backstock

Tango, the reason for the villagers dying is that the dispenser above the bed so when the villagers are jumping in and out of bed they are taken suffocation damage. Move the dispenser up one block and replace it with a glass block.

11:50 The payments are supposed to go up in that barrel right there on the top with the diamonds on it. The shulkerbox below has a feed mechanism from below the floor that keeps it filled up constantly. When people put their diamonds or crapcoins in the shulker, they make the entire mechanism stop working. If Doc doesn't fix it by the time you come back from the Vacation... Try going back and moving the payments inside the shulker into the barrel on top.

Payment in the Octagon is supposed to be paid in barrel above. When the shulker box is empty a new one pops up.. The shop is not out of stock the shulker just need to emptied and payment needs to go in barrels.

In the version I build of that iron farm on a paperMC server, I had problems with villagers getting damaged at night. When they dropped, they sometimes went into the bed, before reaching the ground. When they got out of the bed, they got the fall damage. Since the villagers were only in the bed for a very short time, it was sufficient for me, to place the delayed dispenser one block higher. Increasing the delay on the repeater wasn´t enough.
