I would do the Scar method of assigning rules to how your terrain generates. Like anywhere there is lava the surrounding at least 2 blocks will be blackstone/deepslate to show charring, then migrate to darker greys etc. Also Tuff and various dead sea blocks/fans would look good.

One thing that would be really awesome in Fifi’s cave is some alien technology monotoring Fifi, tying this base to VintageBeef’s. They both are (or were) buried and both are in a crater. Nothing much is needed, maybe just an antenna sticking up from the ground. A Hermitcraft easter egg, if you will.

Someone had suggested that you add cages and add mobs, and I think that's a dope idea. I think you could also add Bone blocks, and bones in invisible item frames around the place as well. I was thinking you could place those mostly around the cauldron, but all throughout the cave would also be pretty neato

I've an idea of making fifi's footprint and spreading them all around the island. And then making a fifi's treasure lair but instead of gold maybe fifi could stole a villager house. You can then make it look like the house was dug out and in the place where it was, make a footprint.

The block pallette looks great! I think you've got that just right. One thing I'd add though is make sure you add a bunch of oversized natural structures into the cave, so it doesn't just look like an empty cavern with a random monster. Things like stalactites, stalacmites, pillars and cracks that go not just straight down but at diagonals. All the things you would see in a cave inspiration picture- more is always better. Also, perhaps you could add some clusters of crystals? A little bit of magic to justify the existance of the monster. At the back of the cave, there could be something that FiFi is protecting.

I love that you added iron to the shop design using trapdoors, chains, and lanterns! Recommendation: Try choosing either the top or the bottom to be concrete, and the other side to be hyphae/terracotta. Then fade the textures into each other so it looks salt-sprayed by the sea.

So, one thought I had with the blackstone in the cave would be to use it as "solidifying magma". So have streams of lava, with where it is cooling use the blackstone to transition from it to the rest of the pallet. But what you have so far looks great, so keep it up!

What Bdoubs does can be simplified and used by everyone. Just make a pillar of different blocks, where 2-3 are one certain block. In that pillar have 2-3 blocks of one color for base and rest can be other unique blocks (usually 3-5) of similar color as the wall. And you can have more of one block in the pillar as the main block of your build or you can have most blocks be equal ammounts. So for example you would have 2 different gray blocks as base (lets say cobblestone and andesite) and then 4 blocks for the wall (lets say red concrete, red powder concrete, red mushroom blocks and red terracota). Then you would arrange those blocks into a pillar so that they would go from darker to lighter towards the top (or it can change a color a bit for example from red to orange and/or it can go from rougher texture to smoother). Based on that pillar you can also see how well you transition from one block to another and you can later avoid having a house that looks like a dalmatian or a spotted dick. When you start to build a building then you just change the ammount of blocks you have a certain block and basically repeat the pillar all arround the build. For example on one segment of the wall you can have 3 red mushroom blocs but 1 red terracota, while segment/pillar next to it has 2 red mushrooms and 2 red terracota. It is fairly simple. After you have built the main part of the building, you can use wood, leaves and a 3rd color on details. You can use also buttons and trap doors to smoothen out transitions.. for example stone buttons for transistioning from stone/gray base to red walls. With this method you could have seen that having crimson stem would have been bad idea, because it doesn't transition well to red, or you could have used trap doors to leviate transition, or you could have added another block in between crimson stem and red concrete (for example wart block or netherrack). You also could have made house that isn't a patchwork of different blocks, but instead transitions more logically.

I love this concept of Fifi the cyclops and its lair. I feel gilded blackstone scattered throughout those veins around the lair and also some treasure pockets for Fifi to guard would add some variety. Also the addition of armoured skeletons laying in and around the treasure pockets (potentially employing Cleo and her armour stands) to visualise all of Fifi's victims who tried to steal from her. You could add some Blackstone buttons for some small rock detailing, veins of ores through the floor, a big lava fall (in contrast to a waterfall), a war scene around the ogre, spikes of Blackstone around the floor instead of just stalagmites and stalactites, and maybe some dead bushes around the area to give more life to the area! For around the lava pockets, adding a little Crimson Nylium could be nice . It could be a border block between deepslate and magna blocks. You could say the block is like lava cooling into a solid like form, from a red orange block to a reddish gray vein block.

Hear me out: a lava river winding through, but don’t actually make it lava. Use the glass technique where you use several layers of glass on top of glow stone to give it a fade/haze look. Use orange and/or red glass. It’ll really make the space glow!

The cave floor block pallet looks great. For variation, you could mix in gilded black stone to the black stone veins. Also, you could make said veins originate from Fifi's feet and spread outwards as if Fifi was causing the ground to crack under them. Pillars, made of either a contrasting or complementary material could be added sparsely to make the cave look/feel more structurally sound. Lastly, to give the cave some more sense of motion (on top of the lava and smoke) you could have dispensers control lava falling from the ceiling in places perhaps. Fantastic video as always Tango! You can add obsidian, maybe even crying obsidian to the blackstone veins. Having a bit of a magic feel mixed in with the hellish brimstone feels appropriate for having FiFi in the mountain. It gives it a real lord of the rings vibe. So it might be cool to have more than one thing going on under the mountain. Sort of like brimstone that has another form of magic seeping in and trying to take hold, and that would be the blackstone veins.

Make your paths with orange, yellow, & red glass with lava-fication underneath, not straight but meandering. Add a lava pit with striders- glass topped. For the floor itself use stair blocks occasionally for small pits. Maybe Make 3-5 hanging cauldrons (Fifi scaled) filled with lava for lighting up the underside of the mountain top

You should definitely add some tuff to the block pallet, it goes really well with the deepslate and basalt

For the floor you could add bones in invisible item frames and/or make something larger with bone blocks. Also you could add the charred remains of a hut to add to the lore.

the floor design looks really cool but what would look really cool is if you just drop it down by a couple of blocks and then just put tinted glass on top of it to make a smooth floor. it’ll decrease the chances of people falling in lava and will also give the floor this cool kinda reflective texture. love the videos. built your iron farm in my own world, works like a charm. thanks for the awesome content. ❤️
