The same to you, careful with words , i know the work of the great Laudir de Oliveira (R.I.P.),it was Danny Seraphine ( drummer)who brought Brazillian percussionist extraordinaire Laudir de Oliveira into Chicago group in 1973,to play as a studio sideman for their album "Chicago VI."It was in 1974, the time of recording the double LP "Chicago VII," when he was added officially as a full-pledged eighth member of Chicago , a big contributor to the sound of Chicago, [first as a session artist in 1973 (Chicago VI) and as a full-pledged member from 1974-1980.]The band hired him and added him to the lineup as a full-pledged member starting from 1974 (Chicago VII) to 1980 (Chicago XIV).He spent the next five years in Los Angeles, doing session work for other musicians like Chick Corea, Gal Costa, Airto Moreira, Flora Purim, Carlos Santana, Wayne Shorter and Nina Simone,Toninho Horta , Milton Nascimento and countless of others, before relocating to Brazil in 1987.Laudir was one of the most creative and artistic percussionist I've heard, and I didn't recognize him in this video (if was him on video my appologies, seemed to me Walfredo, even asking to B.B. wich he cant remember this show , and know about this video i for me just saying! ).... Regarding the Walfredo Reys Jr. credit it was because he worked with Tania Maria (drums Show "Ohne Filter") with percussionist Frank Colon in the 80´s and looks like him (old photos) (???) here, playing percussion , if not my appologies fortunately I have friends in common and I've asked who actually plays in this video, I'm sure (that's right) that it's not Armando Marçal ...en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walfredo_Reyes_Jr.
