I had $30 in rewards (the more you let them stack up, the more valuable they become per point) to buy a last minute gift, plus a 20% off coupon. AND it was like 3x points purchase on top of that. Shopping at ulta is just like playing the credit card points game lol. I just buy the premium brands directly from the vendor or when sephora offers me a discount. As an added bonus, the packaging from chanel and nars' sites is so beautiful!

The lips/cheek balm is not meant to be a blush blush that you’re thinking of. Back in the day, women used lipstick to dab on cheeks for a glassy dewy look. It’s designed for radiance natural minimalist look. Sort of “on the go” type of thing. The No 1 is a skincare collection. The same can be said for foundation. Yes, it’s expensive it’s Chanel of course. They are a luxury brand. I actually ordered the balm because I love wearing something natural during my casual days when I’m not wearing heavier make up. I think you look stunning with both when you showed your face outside. Absolutely gorgeous!

I do agree with you that the balm is for a no makeup kind of look. I like the way it looked on for about 5 hours. I wouldn’t wear this again with foundation, maybe just with a tinted moisturizer! The foundation is amazing!! I wore it again yesterday and it really wore do well and it is so beautiful!!❤️❤️

Me too! I’m excited about Ulta caring Chanel!! I actually returned the balm. I thought about it for a few days and decided it was just not worth it! I bought it to use it as a blush, and it just did not work for me and for that much money… The CT video is gonna be up in 30 min😊

The balm should dry down once it sets into the skin. I actually have great luck using a brush to press it on.

I have tried 4 different Chanel foundations and they all work so so well for me!! I think they do an amazing job at it! The balm absolutely is a skip. I am debating returning it.. and i very very rarely return it!! Even as a balm it is not practical for me.

This sounds amazing. You and I are the same coloring but in Chanel I generally use the BD line (more golden) for my olive tones.....I'm trying to decide between B30 and BD31.

I think they are so so different that it really depends on the need. I personally like the chanel for day to day and if i need to go to work or somewhere that i need my makeup to last and look amazing for a long time i would pick the Lisa Eldridge! Chanel is less coverage and more luminous, skin like. Lisa Eldridge is more coverage, lasts longer on the skin and it has a more matte/satin finish! Hope this helps❤️❤️

The skin finish looks ideal, coverage wise and radiance wise. My one issue is that skin products with coconut derivatives or insane silicone always give me superficial whiteheads😑 I may give it a try though because that and starfish look stunning on you! oxo

The line is actually only going to be carried ONLY in 200+Ulta stores (for now), as well as Chanel boutiques & website. It’s been in the works for over 15 years. It’s the first full line from Chanel to be used as a whole routine. There is a QR code for the products on the box too. You can use it for the proper process for the skincare & techniques for applying. The smell of the foundation is the Red Camelia flower, which has the red camelia oil in it & that is a powerhouse product. The serum is the star of the show, absolutely worth the investment & works so well with the whole line.

The bare minerals is much glowier and lighter in feel! I wouldn’t say they are very similar. Chanel has more of a satin finish, maybe a splash of glow to it. Chanel does sit better around the smile lines and pores and has more coverage. Bare Minerals I use when I want a bit less makeup. I tend to put very little on and wear it as a tinted moisturizer! I will help if I can. I sell Chanel at Ulta & will say we are all learning as we go! There’s not a lot of info on the shades anywhere but I’ll tell you the B20 is more of a fair shade. There is a B22 that has a tad more warmth. This foundation melts into the skin so nicely… it will not have a distinct line or anything. If you’re close to her skin tone, I’d say the B22 or the B30.

My skin has a green tinge to it that I don't really see in Tania's skin, but other than than pretty close. I was trying to figure out which shade would be most flattering for a light olive skin tone. Struggled to even find any side by side swatches of the full range. Most foundations in the light range pull either pink or peachy/orange on me - I usually try to go for the Yellowest shade but that's almost always in the medium and onwards range, so not an option for me. Do you have any idea out of the B20/b22/b30 which would be the best match for an NC20/NC25 (+C2 in old face and body) Mac shade with olive tones? I know that's not an easy question to answer, but would be very grateful for your input!

Oh, i used to wear the Aqua foundation all the time. I have not tried it in so many years that i can’t fully compare them! I wouldn’t say the foundation stayed sticky throughout the day. Maybe in the beginning but i didn’t notice anything our of the ordinary:)

Hi Tania, the foundation looks gorgeous on you! Your skin looks good to begin with, I’m in my mid 30s and I’ve combination to oily skin with tiny bumps/ occasional breakouts. Anyone with oily skin have tried this foundation? Review please ?😃 Did you wear facemask through out the day Tania? Does the foundation transfer to facemask?

I would sincerely look into the serum & moisturizer with this line. It will help your skin balance out the oiliness & help all makeup look and stay better.

I think I may have used a face mask for just a little bit, but not too much! Maybe using an oily primer may work?

I havnt tried that foundation the 1 from Chanel that i wear regularly is the Chanel healthy glow foundation & people say they r very similar so i dnt need2 try the #1 de Chanel bc the 1 i have is said2 b so similar..but it looks really beautiful on ur skin..also the healthy glow that i use pretty much daily is also the least expensive 1 from Chanel its $65 so no reason 2 switch 4 me.. plus the #1de Chanel doesn't have the shade i use in the healthy glow, i use the BD41 & its not available in that 1.the healthy glow is very similar 2 that 1 according 2 other makeup reviewers..but the healthy glow is also called hydration & long wear so i really like it4 those reasons as wel..if u haven't already u may want2 do a review on the Chanel healthy glow hydration & long wearing foundation..it woud b a good review altho its been out 4 2yrs it doesn't matter people that havnt tried it yet may b interested..u look similar 2 my skin shade,u may like it in the BD41 😊

I think I’m going to try this - I’ve been looking for a new foundation that is a complement to my current two favorites(nars/Armani) but my skin can be dry in spots and pill the application, so it’s been hard to find one that performs like I need

The blush it's easy : westman atelier!! Best formula and such good staying powder. The foundation... I recommend both. The Chanel is more natural looking, the Charlotte Tilbury gives a bit more coverage. I need to wear them side by side and make notes on which one wore better and the differences. They are both amazing foundations!!

I’m not sure about which one i like better. I want to try the Lisa Eldridge and Chanel side by side and see which one i prefer. I think Lisa Eldridge lasts longer. Shade wise Lisa eldridge shade 11 is my perfect shade!

I really think you can find other foundations there are more affordable That are really good. You have Charlotte Tilbury, there is also Nars or Bobbi Brown has amazing foundations.. you do not need this one. I do absolutely love it and I think it looks stunning around the pores or fine lines but I don’t think you NEED this foundation🥰
