Overseas, people are not hungry and rough. People will come in, in an orderly manner, collect their gifts and go home. The reason this calamity happened is simple. Lack of proper planning and organization. If police were not invited, the organizers are wrong. In other way, it is the responsibility of the police and other related security agencies to have information through their intelligence about events around them whether invited or not and take security measures to prevent disaster like this. If it were protest, Police would not wait for invitation. They don't need to wait for invitation to ensure orderliness in public events Just like what happened during a school Interhouse sport event in agege Lagos some years ago when a child collapsed,.
