If by your celebrity, you can reach a wide audience, and you might feel strongly about a topic of discussion or current affairs, and you feel you have something important to say, or impart, than you should go ahead and do so - if you want to. There is no requirement to do that, but if you can galvanise people by focusing their attention and help to clarify a point, more so the better.
