Can you try doing a normal type glc deck? I think it would be super cool to run a deck with kecleon for a weakness attacker that can attack at a moments notice Edit: you also have the other keckeons that work with the unit energies as well that you can use too. You also get access to lots of cool draw power eith things like snorlax and cinccino

He’s already done a list on what most people consider the “optimal” attacking colourless deck. The thing is with keckleon is yes he can hit all weakness but to build a glc deck around him as an attacker really wouldn’t work seeing as you’ve only got one keck that takes all that energy. You could fit it out with revives and things like that but just wouldn’t be worth it unfortunately

@@floatingtech-tite5395 mmm idk ay I’ve experimented with the stoutland line a lot but seeing as porygon is always your main focus to get out then either cinccino/pidgeotto or slaking you really don’t have the capacity to set it up. To be fair I haven’t tested it very much since the “meta” has slowed down a bit recently but i still fee like stoutland isn’t quite good enough to warrant a third stage 2. Also idk if the bibarel is better than cinccino. Cool list though will be good to see how brilliant stars effects everything

I love how a game can be so close whereabouts it comes down to like one card. (Like the goggles in that last game.) I also like how the games can be so close in GLC unlike in standard where whoever gets first prize wins.

I personally prefer the melmetal from unbroken bonds that eats metal pokemon to heal. That thing has stolen games being down 4 prizes for me, simply by its shear stall. Coupled with big shield aegislash and defensive items, the thing just wont die.

There also isn't any deck in GLC that /needs/ beach. You have to be flexibile enough to survive without any one card, really; it's nice for consistency but if you can't get a real PTCGO one or a proxy/WC one irl, your don't need to adjust your deckbuilding much.

You already do a great job of explaining the strategy and highlighting some of the important cards but as a newcomer there’s a ton of cards in expanded that are new to me. Maybe a quick scroll through your support and items cards at the beginning solely for us to pause and read it while you’re talking about the deck would be helpful (you pretty much do this already) Or what do you guys recommend for learning more outside of standard for the GLC format.

Gym leader challenge getting rid of the ability to play any pokemon that changes types as it evolves is kind of unfortunate. I have 2 different decks that would be good for this format but couldn't use because they use single strike urshifu in one and rapid in the other. But since they start as fighting they wouldn't fit in a mono water or dark deck respectively.
