Tank Buoyancy: Just how much weight do you need to add to compensate for a Cylinder?

All cylinders will undergo a change in their buoyancy characteristics during a dive as the gas that is contained inside of them is consumed. This means that you'll always start the dive more negative, or sinking if you have no air in your BCD, then as the dive progresses you will become more positively buoyant as the tank becomes lighter because of the gas being breathed from it. In this video you get to see just how much weight is needed in order to weigh down an aluminum 80 cylinder. It really doesn't take much!

thank you so much,now i know i need add 3 pound weight when i add one more tank.i can't find this information any other place,so.when i buy a tank same time i can also buy lead enough i need.before this i even dont know think about tank and water which is more heavy.thank you so much ,i had waste too much time in other place for seaching.so i clicked every positive button this vedio page

Very interesting, but how much weight is required to neutral an al80 that's full? so i can do the math and know the actual difference between full and 500psi?? Thanks
