Algy Ward, the ONE and ONLY commander for TANK. This is classic Tank and it puts the new band to shame. What's even more shameful is how the band members Algy gave a name to took his name and all the success for themselves. Algy is still hammering on despite this betrayal, and this fan raises his glass to the one and only Algy Ward!

Well, here's the deal: Hi FRANK 666. I've been away a while and just caught your reply and I'm sorry I'm so late, but here's the issue on Tank: Algy became seriously ill with some sort of inner ear or nervous system condition, and due to that condition, he can no longer tour because he can't stand upright or keep his balance if he is subject to percussion of any kind (drums being the main offender). The band members decided, that even though the name LEGALLY belonged to Algy, that they wanted the name for the band for themselves as they got a new singer (and a gaggle of other band members over the years) and in general, Algy lost the legal battle as the name still remains with the new formation of the band. Tank is a band, but Algy by himself is now "Algy's Tank". Much in the same situation as Black Sabbath\Ronnie James Dio-when Ozzy is with the band, it's Black Sabbath, but when Dio was with the original members, it was called Heaven And Hell. Only thing is, is that Ozzy didn't get screwed out of his band name like Algy did. So as you said, "FUCK THEM"!!! Tank is Tank only with Algy driving, and no one else. I'd like to hear everyone if some other band tried to use Metallica's name, everyone would be in an uproar, but it seems OK do it to one of the true forefathers of metal. Sickening....

I agree that Algy is the main force that made Tank special, but Sturmpanzer was very disappointing. He needed outside input and he also should have just stuck to playing bass rather than trying to be a one man show. I hope if he makes another attempt he gets some assistance in his efforts.

HAMMER ON LYRICS BELOW: Ok girls, so the lyrics to this are seemingly NOWHERE to be found (were not included in any of the releases). It's hard to understand Algy's drunk gibberish, but after listening to this and some live versions, I've managed to figure out most of it. But this has to be a team effort, because I'm clueless when it comes to the 2nd verse. The lyrics here are what you can sing in a cover or something. It will sound exactly the same as in the album version, but it's definitely wrong. But whatever, nobody knows the lyrics anyway. Posers.

Awesome work! I've looked into this a bit as well and I mostly agree with what you have here, although I do hear "We're gonna rock you senseless to the ground" and "They come here at their own choice" instead. As for the second verse, that's a bit of a mess, yeah. In the third and fourth lines, I hear "Drunk on all fours" and "To be stopped, crossed off the list". The first line is either what you have or I heard something along the lines of "Breaking all laws", or it could be something else entirely. The second line is a mystery to me. It could be what you have suggested, but to my ears, it sounds like he's saying more words. In the live versions, he sings something that seems to end on the word "fish", the album version sounds closer to your idea. Conclusion - I haven't the foggiest. A fun bit at the end: although I think "You're deaf from the sound of my voice" is the right line, originally I thought it was "Your death's inside of my voice", which I think sounds kinda cool.

I have updated the comment to include those changes. I agree with what you suggested regarding the 2nd verse. Tremendous progress. 1st line must indeed be "Breaking all laws". Now that I know that I cannot hear anything else, particularly in this live here. Now for the 3rd line. If I'm looking for "drunk on all fours" I can absolutely hear it, too. Now the only issue I have with this is that it doesn't connect very well with the 4th line. While Algy had... hmm... an interesting way of pronouncing words while singing... his lyrics were usually quite coherent. And this just kind of comes out of nowhere. Wdyt? Maybe the 2nd line makes it make sense, whatever it is? I can also hear "fiSH" in the 2nd line, btw. It angers me for some reason. Btw. one that I just cannot hear is "*At* their own choice" I can very clearly hear "of" in the album version and it makes more sense linguistically(?). ONE more thing: 1st verse, 2nd line: I've got a feeling this one is wrong, too. I hear "How" instead of "I" there, and I think it could be something like "How can I ever stand it?" (or at least "How can I understand it?"), actually. Any guesses?
