Thank you so much for posting this video. Tank always has been and always will be one of my all time favorite bands. As long as Algy was fronting the band. I commend you on the info you passed along within the video, even if I disagreed with most of what you said about the music itself. Your video channel is such a wealth of info on bands that have been forgotten through the years or overlooked for whatever reason. Thank you again and please keep up the good work.

OK, I"m going to blow up the internet. First, didn't know Algy had passed. Shame on me. TANK, inconsistent as they were, WERE SO GOOD. I recall Jason Newsted saying in an Alternative Press interview (going way back here) that Lars listened to them a lot. (THEN WHY NO TANK SONG ON GARAGE DAYS? Unforgivable.) Post Filth Hounds, Kerrang basically helped destroy their career (not that their live shows helped). When their box set came out, Algy was pretty vocal that they wouldn't see a dime from it and didn't exactly encourage fans to purchase. I still have some of their 7" records. As different as Filth Hounds and Power of the Hunter were, I still loved Power (but prefer Filth). Ok, didn't blow up the internet that much but thanks for starting this dialogue. Poor Algy. Always seemed like he was just barely getting by. RIP Algy.

Huge Algy Ward era TANK fan here. It's extremely difficult (and expensive) to find theirs albums in Uruguay. Only own a Spanish single from their first album and a T-Shirt. Learned some songs with my bass while fighting cancer some years ago. Still working to transcribe Hammer On since the lyrics aren't anywhere. Greetings from South America!

Another excellent choice and another band I absolutely dislike. It's Now, one would ask "why'd you stayed for the whole 45' minutes if you dislike them?" The answer is simple. To find out if I've misjudged them, or if in the end of the video I feel that I was right. That's the beauty of Metal School. You either learn of a band you didn't know, reassess your point of view, or confirm your own feelings. This is what makes these videos even better! Thank you for another excellent effort! No matter what my opinion is R.I.P. Algy Ward. Metal is family, not division.

Haha, couldn’t agree more. Everyones tastes are different and one of the great things about heavy metal is the variety. Glad you still dig the video! I’m sure I’ll hit on one we both agree on soon 😊🤘🏻

I think they were ignored or polarizing. Filth came out when punks were slooooowly easing into admitting they appreciate Motorhead but Tank never got the juice to be appreciated by punk fans and they were too sloppy for a lot of metalheads.

Like most people my age, the NWOBHM bands was my jumping off point in my love of rock and metal. Sadly, because so many of these bands never made it past the demo stage, the only thing most of us had were cassette tapes doing the rounds at school and they were usually a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy x10, but we didn’t mind because we knew that under all that sound deterioration there was something so good. I remember Tank from those school days, thanks for the trip down memory lane.

I always loved the Sodom version of "Don't Walk Away" on their Agent Orange album. In general, Tank to me was one of those good not great bands of their time. But I do find it strange that two non original members who showed up relatively late in the early run of albums chose to use that name decades later. It's not like Tank is a top brand. Tucker and Evans really should have had their own band name and truly owned the project, not have some weird foot in the past.

This my favorite type of music and my favorite era. Life is a battle, and it's the best subject for Rock n Roll. Just as good as love is, anyway. This Means War is a kickass album. Times were pretty rough in the early 80's, which is why it's perfect for life today.

That 87’ s/t album is probably my favorite Tank album. It is super catchy and is all killer no filler imo. Lost was for them what Out in the Cold was for Judas Priest on Turbo and It fell from the sky definitely had a killer hook for the chorus part. Very underrated album! It’s not too different than what Angel Witch or Tokyo Blade might have been doing around that same time also underrated albums from that era imo.

Great to see all this love for Tank in the comments. I saw then in 1982, opening for Diamond Head. They did not go down well at all...😬 They were a late replacement for Twisted Sister, who were supposed to be the tour openers.

Wow, that is quite the switch from Twisted Sister! Although Tank still seems like a decent fit with Diamond Head. But I guess TS were already kinda legends by then.

I felt in love with a storm... eeeeeeeeeer... I mean with TANK since the first time I got "Filth Hounds..." back in the 80's, which is a MASTERPIECE (all songs are PERFECT) You forgot to mention that "Crazy Horses" from "Power Of The Hunter" is an The Osmonds cover For me TANK is Algy Ward and anything else... any other thing is something else, but not TANK. Congratulations another incredible awesome video well documented, narrated, and produced.

I feel bad to say this, but whenever Doogie White shows up in an album they usually end up being Meh to me. He's not bad and he's very consistent vocalist, but at the same time he's nothin too special but maybe I haven't listen to enough of him. Although I did like him in the more recent Alcatrazz albums after I got over Graham Bonnet leaving the band (Cause what's the point of Alcatrazz without Graham Bonnet). Great video as usual, and now I gotta hunt these albums.
