It was last in either Fort Irwin or Camp Roberts, all tanks in museums now have their batteries removed so they can't be operated anymore. Sorry this is so late.

I use to live and work there. Convoy St is north of San Diego near Miramar MCAS (Top Gun) then a Navy base. There's a row of restaurants and strip malls there. It connects to Balboa Ave. Lots of desert areas there... Clairmont Mesa Blvd is about a half mile down the road and the tank didn't go that way. National Guard use to have tanks on grounds for training. Occasionally, they will be Federalized to deploy during war. As apparent, it's very difficult to stop a tank even an old M-60. After this incident, all tanks from the Army and Marines were moved to larger bases with more security. I was with 4th Tanks Marine Reserves and they move all heavy tactical vehicles to Camp Pendleton in Oceanside.
