I guess, technically, by definition, you are correct. If its turns over, it's not "locked". But "hydrolocked" is easier to say than "the engine appears to be suffering from excess water intrusion into the combustion chamber".

he would have to pull all 8 spart plugs and manually roll the crank over so you dont spit that water in the cyclinders all over the elctrical ....once 95 precent empty roll over with the starter for about 10 seconds then reinstall the plugs and and try and start it altho befor trying to start it id pull the dipstick for the oil and see if any water managed to push past the rings and leak in to the crank case becuse even if you could start it being most guys have 10gs or more in to motor it wouldnt be to smart to run that engine or any engine with any kinda water in crank case

Trance Me It was explained in the video ...but for the hearing impared here's a ferebie ...That tire is there for the tank trap so when the truck goes into the wedge that tire rolls along side the wall instead of the truck just digging in and not moving that's why it's only on the driver side ...watch the video again you will see it kind of work as it hits the wall .

FleetofFords4x4 But we did have a typical Ford Tranny go out....lol ...joking aside, All the makes and models did well, the competition is extremely tough, the videos don't do it justice and you are only seeing a fraction of the courses. That Challenge can kill any vehicle, it comes down to prep of the vehicle and skill of the drivers.....and some luck. :)

MontyPython12 There are plenty of vehicles that have ran diesels in previous years of TTC, none of them did that great. Even one with a Cummins that I have personally wheeled with in east Texas.

You're probably one of the folks that think DOM has no seam and that you can dent it with no strengh loss ,and probably think 10g is thinner than 1/8th inch .

+yerwrng well, I can see undercut which could cause the tube wall to crack next to the shitty weld and since the weld is boogered on there, the penetration isn't consistent. the fewer stop-starts, the better. but why anyone would allow such unattractive welds on such expensive trucks is a mystery to me.

Winching is inherently dangerous, the recent advent of rope made it slightly safer, but rope has absolutely no place in the sand and mud. As the rope is pulled on the fibers slide against each other and the rope gets thinner than is does at rest - add sand and mud and is just cuts the fibers and makes the rope unpredictably weak. Plus UV damages and weakens the rope - its good in some places, but not TTC. Cable is the old reliable standard - I'm running cable on my trail rig, but rope on my enclosed trailer winch.

Kyle Quitter I live in Australia and rope is the only thing we use, winch challenge trucks usually replace their ropes after each comp. Its stronger and when it does snap you can either splice it or tie it back together to get you out of the situation, i'm not sure anybody even sells cable anymore here. Plus these sort of trucks simply dont exist here, i mean we have tuff truck but most competitions here are mostly the ultra4 style racing but they go for a week and you need all your gear with you.
