What is the reason that tank udyr is the meta version of udyr, not hybrid?

Few reasons, mainly how OP liandries is as a standalone damage item. It scales off enemies max hp, so if you build tank after you will still do a ton of dmg late game. All the resistances from tank applies to your W, so tank udyr is just super efficient first 3 items. Most games in diamond+ close out before 35 mins, which is why you mainly see tank udyr in those brackets

Consistensy, since you deal % health damage, has better sustain and shielding than AD, can build defensive items at your hearts content and R max make you able to kite a lot of champions and the nail on the coffin is you have AoE damage so you're better at team fights. Hybrid Udyr / AD Udyr need a deeper understanding of the champion and knowing your limits, what you can or cannot survive/fight, also you need more damage items while AP Udyr can get away with 1 or 2 items, you need at least 3 damaging items on AD Udyr and Hybrid Udyr, since your playstyle is centered in 100-0 someone, Hybrid has more leverage since you can slow cook them with R, but since you'll not have conqueror your extended fights will be worse. TLDR: Tank Udyr can eat 5 ults and live, better teamfighting and more acess to movespeed other than deadman and force of nature (Mejai, Lichbane, Cosmic Drive).

Only notes: - Hybrid Udyr does not need more than one damage item, two it what makes it easier to carry with + synergy. I’ll do shojin into tank all the time - You can play exclusively tiger / Hybrid to masters - Tank is easy to see as “the best”, but your team does not need a slow non-engage tank every time Agree with most of the rest :)

@@lolWillieP Didn't see the shojin into tank videos, so my bad. I prefer ADyr since you can solo objectives faster, and started building Hybrid because of your videos (Phase Rush save lives). Previously I was only watching Trick2g and The Halloween (Brazilian Mono Udyr, Mainly AP Tank) and they mostly AP Tank or full AD with muramana and ravenous (Trick). Thanks for the response, sorry for any bad english since I'm from Brazil, love your vids
