Looks great such an underappreciated little fish arguably one of my favorites. Thanks for the share.

Yeah I think it is! They're cheap and fun to watch, they reproduce like crazy, really nice fish to keep :)

thanks for that , makes sence now, because my Bangai do same, hiding in the sea urchins spikes , but no babies so far

Great new update! Love the new fish - can't be bothered looking it up but Timor? Timorensis LOL Gorgeous... Hope he does get stuck into to those nudis ;) Happy Easter mate ;)

Ha yeah that's it indeed!! He seems to lower their number, I can see the speed of them spreading reducing fast!!

@@DutchReefer That's so good to hear. I ordered a pink streaked wrasse to in case anything gets past my dipping process. I got home and it ended up being the dreaded 6 line. The problem is my son loves the fish. Gonna have to work out what to do before I add new fish now ;)

I know I'm super late but my leather went through the same thing and I found out that it's normal for them to shed a layer of their outer skin and keep their polyps retracted during that time (which can be 2days - 2wks).

Hey DR - tank always looks amazing! Could you explain the food your shrimp Was eating some more? I didn’t catch that part and I love how it takes a few hours and everything gets to eat. Thank you! Just found it Masstick food. I’ll have to get some and try it.

Yes, what was the food? Great video, but I was wondering the same!!

How do you clean your sand? Maybe do a maintenance video?
@DutchReefer5 жыл бұрын
I let my fish do the cleaning :-) and there's already a Focus Friday video on both maintenance and keeping the sand clean! :)

Forgot to mention you can make an artificial long spine urchin for the baby cardinals.
@DutchReefer5 жыл бұрын
Yeah indeed Lisa, I tried that before but it didn't work quite well, unfortunately

The Spotted Drum and the Bangai Cardinals look like close cousins as they have similar black and white bands and white spots. What will you do with the baby coral?
@DutchReefer5 жыл бұрын
Yeah they do look somewhat alike indeed, although I don't think they are related, specie-wise

I wonder if you pull that toadstool leather out and dip him real good? He might come to life again back to his previous glory. He was probably my favorite coral in your tank at one time. 👍🏼
@DutchReefer5 жыл бұрын
I will definitely try that if he keeps sulking. That, and moving him again to more light + flow

Dutch Reefer- recently switched to Fritz salt and after a 40/G water change on my 75/G system...the toadstool looks so much better.
@lisadimercurio94735 жыл бұрын
Was the toadstool shedding being the reason for no polyp extension? Your wrasse is a female halichoeres timorensis. I hope it takes care of the nudibranches. I had one like yours that ate my clean up crew including my cleaner shrimp(I saw the shrimps hanging from its mouth) also killed all snails and hermits. It recently died so now I can add cuc
@DutchReefer5 жыл бұрын
Ouch wrasse eating your CUC isn't very nicei! It has been busy with the nudi's though :-) and the toadstool has been a problem for months now, ever since I started fragging it back then...

I believe its a Thalassianthus Aster anenome. Not as aggressive as Aptasia, but still very annoying too have in your tank.

are Bangai Cardinal delicate to no2 o no3 or phosfate and how I can make them eat
@DutchReefer5 жыл бұрын
NO2 is always a problem for fish but NO3 or PO4 are not really a problem. They should eat themselves, not sure what to do if they don't!
