Tankoins are now your virtual Tanki bank account. You can’t get them without buying. Rubies are just what Tankoins are now, but they changed the Megagold to include Rubies.

@@jeote5338 yep, or at least based on the information from the V-LOG. But it’s a 1:1 ratio. If you buy Tankoins, you just convert them to Rubies, so, so far this update seems pretty damn useless.

All that sounds "nice", but real danger is that, it leaves open door for them to add game breaking items or even skins that can be purchased only with tankoins and not rubies. Hazel can be making "funny" jokes about "no scam" but we know how it usually ends.

Its a common thing for games to do, its proven that the more currencies players buy more stuff using real money, this is do to the confusion. This happens usually only wen there are a LOT more currencies though, like 5 or more so I am not 'totally' convinced that that is what Tanki are doing here but I won't be surprised.

you expecting too much from tanki lol, imagine 1 ruby gold will give 100, if you try and play event mode a lot you can grind like 2-3K rubies and thats too much, I like grind option but it has to be reasonable, there are players who were able to grind whole tanks in space event just by catching energy boxes. So imo 10-20 would be enough if rate of drop remains same. If it will be rare like 1 ruby gold per 5-10 battles then let it be 100.

I really liked this update, especially because they said we can earn rubies from regular matchmaking battles too. After watching your video though, I got reminded of the possibility that they may have said that in the sense that we would be able to complete our missions by playing matchmaking battles and earn rubies from them, or we can earn rubies from Ruby Golds, not from actual battles, unlike crystals. But I really hope it's not going to be like that... if it is, it would really be disappointing. Considering that nowadays we need 700 Tankoins (Rubies after this udpate), just to participate in an event, they should make it possible to earn rubies after completing battles too, just like crystals.

We've seen in the birthday event that a cake gold only gave 10 tankoins, a pittance not even worth catching as it is so low. Which leads me to believe this will be an obvious downgrade to the megagold, unfortunately

So now you can grind out rubies (formerly tankoins) and spend them on premium, early access equipment, all that. Instead of how it is now where you have to just spend actual IRL currency to get that stuff

Then with Tankoins you can only buy premium with them? or convert to Rubies.... I'm not sure why they need to do this; but I think they have some long term plan to try to generate more revenue, there is always a catch. It is like year after year they are skimming down more and more. I hate it when you spend a little money on the game and then they overly nerf. I was watch immortal_hero stream and he said this won't be ready soon, like next year; he might be right look how long it has taken for them to release grenades, heh.

I think this is a decent addition honestly. It gives players incentive to play more. I also think the bots have been a decent addition. If you ignore the pile ups on the ramps. 😂. Filling in the player absence with reasonably ranked bots without augments or ODs has made the game much more enjoyable.

@@northsidechigga it’s better than stock and the Crystal augments, and probably tied for best status augment with Jamming. Not better than the other legendary augments for Thunder though

If you buy event pass now, then you still can get all missions. Next mission appears after completing, and claiming reward for current one, sadly they aren't stacking like in previous events with missions, they has to be completed one by one.

I wish they won't forcefully convert tankcoins to rubies. If that happens then this game is doomed in my eyes. Bcs ppl like me f2p save tankcoins are gonna be useless. I have over 12k tankcoins because of the previous 2 tankifund
