I got this augment but took 3x the containers your press account used. 😭 This augment is diametrically opposite Magnum's Vacuum augment. Unlike Vacuum where you can be sloppy, here you are forced to be accurate. Stock Magnum has a better splash damage radius and I think the vertical setting might be 1 or 2 degrees lower than stock because it threw my timing off at the beginning. It's OP if you are a regular Magnum user, but I think it balances out when you miss because the target area is so concentrated that it makes damaging a moving target more difficult. In Solikamsk (TJR) you can reach wall-to-wall same level flat-firing as long as there are no obstacles in its low trajectory, but won't reach corner-to-corner without rocking.

People who are good with Magnum are not gonna have a field day because they decreased the number of ultry keys we get in spec missions to just 3 :DDD This would have been the perfect augment for my offensive magnum playstyle but I'm not even gonna try to get it. Wasting like 2-3 hours on 3 frickin ultra conts just to then get disappointed by 300 supplies..I'd rather watch paint dry for 3 hours

One game recently, a magnum hit me hard and yep was with this augment; it forced me to put the 50% Magnum protection and haven't used it in a long time. Magnum is ok for certain applications; but wish it had a mini-vulcan secondary turret for defence, cause they suck at close range like worse that rail, scorp, gauss.

When you’re talking about people “going for this augment” what exactly do you mean by that? Isn’t getting an augment just pure luck from a container? How would somebody “go for that”? Thanks a lot for any advice

You should try it with a hovering hull also Tasp, because there the turret rotation doesnt matter, so its even better. Also Crisis/Booster is a must with this, it can 1-shot light hulls with regular damage on direct hit even with defender, also 1-shots medium hull+defender with crit shots or medium hulls with regular double armor on normal shots (given they dont have protection)

I always thought they should have a sniper augment for magnum. This is almost it but feels wrong. Why would they have low speed on something that shoots horizontally. It’s lazy balancing. Sniper magnum should be fixed angle 4-7%, +50% increased damage and crit on direct and -50% on splash, projectile speed increased by 60-80%, reload time increased by 20-30% but time to charge shots to 100% range decreased by 50-60%.
