Did you dot and dab or batten the plasterboard to the tanking slurry? What would you recommend?

Hi there! We dotted and dabbed on to the wall but used a primer first so it would adhere. To test it out, we used a small board, dabbed it on, and left it overnight to check adhesion. Hope this helps!

Do you think the slurry would be good on damp wall in a cellar of an old house

I've never had any experience using the slurry outside of our interior wall application above-ground but I have found this short excerpt online which may help? - "many people like the reassurance of drained protection with a cavity drainage system (wall & floor membranes and sump pumps). If there is already water ingress of a substantial volume in a cellar or basement, you can use the tanking slurry to reduce the load on the system and the pumps before installation." - Hope this is of some use to you?

Do you use any Sbr bonding agent on the walls or in the slurry mix... Any info would be appreciated

Hi Stephen! We used clean water on the walls as per instructions to saturate the surface before applying the slurry. If you are plastering straight on to it, you WILL need a bonding agent. We had a timber media wall between the slurry and boarding so wasn’t needed. As for mixing batches, the slurry comes in powder form like a bag of cement, we added 3 part Slurry (Powder) to 1 part Water and mixed to a ‘custard-like’ consistency. It’s a Two-Coat system that must have the second coat applied within 24 hours of the first, and applied at a 90deg angle in relation to the first coat to ensure an even coverage & all gaps are filled. Hope this helps!

@@leegilbert-wegobigorwegohome thanks for the reply... I've installed Dryrods in a slightly damp inner wall and will be plastering once it is tanked. I'll take your advice on the application method. Cheers!

Hi, after applying the slurry to a wet wall, should I apply sbr before applying a paint finish?
