Dude any one of these "tanks" can be knocked out with a standard 88m. Hell, I imagine those anti-tank rifles from WWI could go through these machines like melted butter. While I imagine not a lot of thought goes into designing these vehicles, since most narcos probably only worry about protection from arms fire and being able to fire back; yet again you have to remember one of those narco armored trucks had an electrified grill on the front soooooooo.. maybe some level of thought goes behind developing them. At least some.

It's a fact that 50 cal will penetrate any of those and most likely bounce around inside and scramble them up. I suspect that armor piercing 5.56, 7.62, 308 and for sure 30-06 will go through any of them as well if your within a 100 feet or so.

I was gonna say. Most of them looked like they where for show more then Use. But could definitely protect from the average round. Whereas only a couple vehicles shown real innovation with their design but still fucked it up somehow. As a mental notice. A 50. BMG Will pierce 20MM of steel at a majority of ranges. This varies of course. Meaning those vehicles armours average 10mm thick/ or 0.394 Inches. Not thick at all.

What makes them soo dangerous and scary is that these people don't operate or follow any "laws, rules, or even legislation" they're by very term a criminal and most of all the very term "criminal organizations" these people don't care whats the law, your family value, morals or even ethics. True some cartel might have a heart, but the through many reports and witnesses its clear that most don't. Its very clear that they will do anything to gain money and power. On top of this they're even willing to corrupt legal institutions as well governments officials and police which is why Mexico as country have hard time to weed out drug cartel because they (the cartels) corrupt governments ans police force through brides and in a country were people are legit poor (like a third world country) its very easy why its soo easy to corrupt. On top of this, they're willing kill innocent people in order to ensure "no one cross them" which sadly the only way to fight them is violence which fighting them with violence is not that simple as they willing to hide and blend with regular population, which once again "they're criminals by the true term"

These "tanks" aren't that much of a threat for the Mexican army, Most of the time the narcos don't stand a chance but sadly a lot of the time they are told to not engage. Also these vehicles are mostly used for cartel vs cartel fighting and usually end up burned in a ditch after the battle.
