I'm not that into fish and aquariums, but I find myself stopping to watch your videos as soon as they are posted. That's a real testament to your story telling ability.

It's so nice to see a highlight of my home. People undervalue the nature here in Florida so much. Thank you for this video.

This is super dope, I love seeing fish in their natural habitats. When observing the schooling behavior you can really see how we keep fish in aquariums really prevents them from showing their true potential.

Not always, theres a video of a cool aquascape called Natures Chaos, and its a huge square tank with a mound in the middle, the mound has plant life, all around the mound is sand, and the schooling fish tend to swim close to and around the mound rather than 'venture' out into the open sandy area, its cool

I'm smarter than you True that. I kind of misspoke in my original comment, I just meant that your average aquarium that someone would stock with some random fish from a chain pet store often is restricting as opposed to the wild or a large, well scaped tank. I’ve never heard of that scape before, I’ll have to check it out. It seems cool.

Hey, very lovely video, big thumb up ! Was wondering about equipment, what drone do you use and for underwater how did you get the footage ? About that Rhino how do like it ? It's a expansive brand, but i feel it's worth it. Is it easy to bring in bag and travel ? Also appreciate that you mention name of the live stock in the video, keep it up :) Can't wait to see all your documentary :)

Beautiful video, as always. I would have liked it even more if you had mentioned fish fry as a major part of the diet of Gambusia holbrooki. Ecologists call them "Dambusia" because of the global havoc they have wreaked. They have been introduced across the tropics to reduce mosquito populations. Unfortunately they often decimate native fish species by consuming all of their fry. They are responsible for the loss of Valencia hispanica across most of their range in spain, spreading from estuary to estuary by venturing out into sea water and traveling along the coast. I just returned from Singapore, where they were all over the place! - Rant over- Can't wait to go to Florida this winter and do some micro fishing for Jordanella floridae! Cheers, Chris

Is Spadderdock (sp?) commercially sold in the USA for pond and aquarium use?
@TankTested
@TankTested 6 жыл бұрын
I should have labeled it so people would know how to spell it! I don’t know if Spatterdock is sold commercially, but it’s a pretty large and aggressive plant. For the home aquarium, I’d go with a red tiger lotus. They look similar but are better scaled for a tank. For ponds Spatterdock might be suitable, but their flowers aren’t as pretty as many of the other yellow Lilies sold in at aquatic centers. (Short answer, I don’t know!) Fun fact: Spatterdock roots and seeds are editable-I don’t know what they taste like though.

Wow, thanks for all the info and correct spelling. Can't wait for your up coming project. I hope you get a chance to revisit this subject where you can get more indepth and underwater.
