This isn't there worst album. I personally think it's one of their best. Nightwish fans just have trouble with change. That's why the endless singer wars are still alive.

I just thought about it. You fall in love. Then the person you're in love with goes and changes. One day when he/she comes in the door he/she just looks, feels, sounds so different.. it's a huge sorrow and loss -also causing frustration and anger But then again: maybe if you looked at the mirror you might notice, you neither are 15 anymore. And never again will be. And the world outside your window. Always a bit different than a moment ago. Let alone some decades The times they're a changing Just the way this world is. You may fight against it. If you will. Or feel the grief, go through it To the other side And forward Only thing that is excactly and only what it is, is now. But it's such a short moment. Before the next. And next and k.. Which one of those do you choose? To stay in

This album is in my opinion Nightwish absolute best album and really shows Tuomas amazing skills as a composer. Tuomas alone is behind every single song and instrumentation on both albums...there isn't many in this world that can do what he does. Next week Endlessness, that song will take you to a whole new dimension in Nightwish catalog, you will love it.

@@torture10 Where did i say Tuomas needs to add filler? I just wished there were more (vocal) songs on part 1. OR: Floor doing classis vocals on part 2, that would have been awesome too. I'm a huge fan of Floor going classic/opera (like in her After Forever/Revamp days), and find it pitty that Tuomas hardly uses Floor's classic voice anymore. A small part in Shoemaker, that was it. :-(

This album is not the worst. Some people want the band to stagnate. Anyone changes over time. If there are no challenges, the band ends and each musician creates projects to be able to do something different. It is a pleasure to be able to hear Floor's aggressive vocal in Tribal. Also the beginning of Floor's vocal in Shoemaker, Pan, Music, a piece in Noise. For me it is invigorating to hear the band mix (something they have always done) music and lyrics to do more than music, to make art.

If I can, I recommend two bands that few know, one is Italian (Proud to bring it to your knowledge) and is called Souls of Diotima, their fourth Album "Janas" has just been released. Another is Spanish, they are called Stravaganzza, and the singer, Leo Jimenez, also has many solo productions. In my opinion one of the most beautiful voices in Metal, and almost unknown outside Spain. Thank you very much for the emotions you convey in the videos.

Regarding Slayer, I was able to see them once. It was in Columbus, Ohio on the Christ illusion tour. I think The Sword was an opener for that show, and the drummer came out early to zero fanfare and took off his shirt right before the lights went down. The people around my friends and I were laughing at the poor guy because he looked like a tall, chubby little person. Anyway, as far as Slayer goes, I'm hoping we caught them on an off night. They didn't sound good, didn't put out any energy, and barely moved. I saw Lacuna Coil in the same city a year or two earlier, and they were incredible, so I doubt it was the crowd's fault at the Slayer show. Tom's eyebrows were the only thing that moved. We couldn't see Lombardo or Bostaph - whichever was drumming that week - and Kerry stayed away from the front of the stage for most of the show. I'm glad I got to see Jeff before he passed, and I'm glad I got to see "Seasons in the Abyss" performed live, but otherwise the show just wasn't good.

Yes good Song And beautiful critique to religion and furthermore, only by considering this song we can deduce the great culture of Tuomas Holopainen, who only in this song makes a lot of historical and linguistic mentions, from the ancient Greek language

@@allenhuling598 I agree. The lyrics seem to give the listener a candid window into the "why" of Nightwish. "Never sigh for better world It's already composed, played and told Every thought, the music I write Everything, a wish for the night"

Who wouldn't love a bunch of skeletons doing the Cupid Shuffle? Nightwish never causes to amaze. If anything can give Slipknot "Spit It Out" Download 2009 a run for its money, its NW and the skeleton dance. #SkeletonDance

The lyrics aren’t anti-religion, as religions can be used for the good also. In my understanding, this is more about people abusing the power of dogmatic religions/churches/sects.

Tbh, i think it's being pretty critical of religion, toeing the line of being anti-religion. At the very least, the primary three Abrahamic religions (Christianity, Judaism, and Islam) and those who are leaders of these religions. The section in particular that i think makes this apparent is "Sing the praise of your creation, bride-prices, thought crimes, blind minds, The Word hides vivid monsters, to bed the tribal itch". Imo it's quite hard to try and interpret this as being anything but overtly critical of the religions at the forefront of society.

Maybe skeleton dance idea is from Walt Disney's animation. Tuomas Holopainen is big Walt Disney fan (not W.Ds ideology).

Can you do Nightwish Wishmaster - misheard lyrics? It's hilarious. I'd not seen it before until Johnny (Powerful Reactions) showed it.

Nightwish will do it, but just how is this going to be done on stage??? They will need to bring Jukka back just for this one song. Look for the extra drum kit on stage. Also, that has to be the longest held note by Floor.

@@TankTheTech picked up on Nightwish in November 2019...I'm 63 and just about heard it all. Grew up on rock and started listening to old school classic on youtube and kept seeing "if you like this, you'll like this.....didn't have a clue until "THAT ONE NIGHT" and never looked back. This band is the best thing on this planet. I was in Paducah when they came to Nashville in 2015 and played at the Marathon Music Works....obviously didn't have a clue back then. I DO NOT listen to any other music and haven't since I came on Nightwish. EVERY DAY AND NIGHT (Before and after work) I watch reaction videos to Nightwish.....I would pay $500 to see them live.......by the way, I really love your work....THANKS!!

Thanks a ton! I remember seeing that they were going to be at Marathon, but at the time I only knew their name and want familiar with the music. Would have killed to see that show.
