The principal chorus with the quinte and the terzan really gets close to sounding like a trumpet!

So unfortunate for the "modernization" of the room by putting in terrible carpet! A lovely sound hampered by the devastating CARPET!!

Thank you, Balint, for demonstrating this historical gem within a wonderfully historical church. Well done including the architectural surroundings. The acoustics and the production of the video is first rate.

As a German-American, I love knowing what my ancestors in Virginia and Pennsylvania would have heard on Sunday (Sontag), centuries ago. Beautiful.

It is a wonderful organ with very beautiful and balanced sounds. Super recording!

Balint, all of your online content is amazing, but this video somehow has its own special place. What an extraordinarily beautiful instrument, and, as usual, demonstrated perfectly by you. I wonder what repertoire (other than hymns) was played on it in 1802!

Such a beautiful instrument, and such a masterful demonstration! Bálint, you are a gem.

I had a chance to play this instrument recently and also attend the Sunday service. The organ is a real gem and so well preserved. The only drawback is the dead room acoustics.

By any standards this is an historical gem and its survival in a rural area for two centuries is remarkable. The case design is well balanced and the unforced voicing of all the stops is a delight. I assume like English organs of a similar date, it does not have pedals. To me the main thing about an orgsn is that it should be musical - a vast number of stops and manuals does not necessarily achieve this. The versatility achieved here with less than ten stops is remarkable.

First of all, THANK YOU Bálint. But it's true that in America, to hear that, it's SO exceptional... It's just a marvel; even from France (where I am) it sounds so German (where I where; a little time). Pedal? Pardon my English, but we REALLY do not care. Bálint has this that he is able to Love, therefore to make people loves, without going through the language (normal, he is not native English speaker). And, therefore again, he needs other tools. Bálint do not needs so much tools like we do not needs so much languages to say him how much thanks we owe him. One keyboard (which only goes up to F), no pedal, barely ten stops. Bálint is a musician; WHO (let me slay him now) ever doubted it? Apologise for my English; I speak only by image (icons); but everyone understand. Like Bálint him self. Thank you SO much Sir. :-) S.M.C.J.

Yeah, ive read abt some historical organs whose principal 8' turns into a qvintathonin the bass
@InventorZahran3 ай бұрын
I'm guessing that was done to cope with restricted vertical space in smaller buildings, where a full-length 8' pipe wouldn't fit.
