Holy crap Holmes kiddos that was a heck of a battle for the both of you. I'm glad that you Tanner were still able to get a 3rd place finish that night when it seemed like good ol' Murphy of Murphy's law was in the cart with you that night. From what I could see concerning Carly it looked like she had to battle for the win also. This is just showing me that the field knows about you and Carly and they know how good you two can be. So maybe for them they feel that when they can beat you they are doing good. As the saying goes the best way to get better at something is to do it with the best. So needless to say that whole field is getting better because you and Carly are getting better. Which is good for everyone including the fans of Outlaw cart racing. @mjriemen or just make a rule that the car stopped has to let the field pass. It was hard to tell when the yellow came out, and it looked like the car was between 1 and 2. Luckily, he saw him and was able to somewhat slow down.

Tanners class, the “Outlaw” class runs a variety of 450-500cc single cylinder dirt bike motors. Both 2 stroke or 4 stroke.

I had the exact same thing happen to me at Placerville Spwy long ago. A car in the rear spun while I was leading and he turned around and tried to get back on the track right in front of me. Plowed into him head on and pretty much pushed my entire car into my lap. From winning to building a new car in about 5 seconds. Sucks.

I'd say yes, driving up the track in front of the leader is a bone head move, but so is parking your car on corner exit in front of the leader, especially when it brings out your 2nd caution and you get kicked off the track. You should have kept going and hoped a caution would let you catch up. Maybe you would have been able to still avoid the B main. The biggest bone head is the flag man. He flags the race like it's an enduo race. Car parked all over the place and still running 2 more green flag laps. The flag man is putting everyone in danger and he has no business doing that job.

I’d say this is more of a problem with the rules than the driver in this case. The whole racing back to the yellow is very dangerous. Any other class in the country… a car is backwards on the track like that, they throw the yellow. They whole thing could have been avoided if the Outlaw karts had better/safer rules… 🤷‍♂️
