Crafters don’t have a ton of money to spend on tools. It can be disheartening to watch some of the most popular design team members blow me away with some of their projects, only to find that the supply list is long and expensive. Some go out of their way to suggest alternative products that we may already own ... but many do not. I understand that this is their job, and I really do enjoy the videos. Thank you again for your tips - this video is SAVED !

I bought the Dododum mini press! When I was ordering my cricut I just didn't have a lot of money. To spend on the extra tools but heard everyone say a household iron really doesn't work well. I have been so stinking happy with my Dododum! Every project has come out perfect! In fact my very first project I did with my cricut was personalize my Dododum bag. It comes with a drawstring storage bag so on the front I put "Stacey's Dododum" and an iron icon I got from design space. On the back I made the temperature guide since it has 3 temp options I made a chart and put the temp of each option to help me knowwhat settings to use with the various vinyls (seems like every brand uses different temp settings) anyway I love mine! I can honestly recommend it! If you watch it goes on sale too. It's often listed as a hot buy! Amazon will chose a color (mine was green) and slash the price 30% off! I wanted pink because that's my aesthetic but the grass green shade is super pretty and was $20 cheaper thank the pink! Highly recommend!

I would love you to compare the non Cricut brands of ink transfer sheets to Cricut that are on Amazon there is quite a verity at a very good price point. Thank you.

I quit Cricut years ago after I had their original original machine and it was awful. Went to the Silhouette Cameo and never looked back. Silhouette isn’t as controlling with the capability of it their machines and their software encourages user designs and manipulation of existing designs for full customization. Cricut has been way behind the curve on that.

Awesome presentation 🤩. I absolutely enjoyed this video and what an eye opener for non Cricut supplies and accessories. Hopefully you can present another video, Cricut’s smart vinyls designed for the new Cricut Maker 3, a alternative? Again, well job done. 😎 I subscribed!

Very informative. I'm brand new at this and have been putting off getting started as I don't have much assistance/confidence. I want to do two HTV projects tomorrow. The glass vinyl and t-shits. I have all I need. If anyone can help with advise, I would so appreciate it. 😊 Thank you in advance.

Thank you so much! I'm a beginner crafter. Cricut brand materials and accessories are expensive. This will help me save so much money.

Hi, and thank you for this information. I am looking at buying a maker 3 and all I see are beginner kits with many of the things included in your video. I think it might better for me to just buy the machine and order the rest from amazon. I am in South Africa and we do struggle sometimes to get orders here because the postal system is terrible here, but it may be worth my while to try and order a few things from Amazon.

Cricut stuff.... tssk tssk. Thanks for the video. There is nothing wrong by ditching cricut branded stuff, my wife has been doing research and getting other branded materials and tools, she uses Avery and 3m for my stickers works flawlessly and look great.

There are companies you suggest purchasing cheaper products - not using Cricut branded materials...they don't deliver to the UK, do you know who does, that you recommend, please?

I'm not yet a Cricut owner but I'm thinking of getting the Maker. I appreciate people that share their truths with others. It's up to each of to decide if we want to try something "off brand". I personally have always thought Cricut brand accessory products were over-priced which has kept me from taking the plunge and purchasing one of the Cricut machines. Your honest recommendations may have just pushed me over the edge into buying. And honestly, I'd stop responding to the naysayers. Not worth the energy, IMO :) I'm in direct sales and if we develop a product I don't like, I'm not gonna lie and tell people it's great just because I sell it. Anyhow, you have a new subscriber. I'm looking forward to catching up on some videos to make sure I really do want to invest in Cricut.

Absolutely love your accent. Great video, I'm going to watch the others you had recommended in this video. I see Cricut has released a new type of "SMART" vinyl so you don't need a pad and you can cut 12 feet at one time. I hope you can do a video on alternate smart vinyl at lower prices. Cheers from Canada.

I have read some of the comments and truly can't understand why some are upset about this. There are definitely some better products for a better price. I would think you would appreciate the comparisons instead of criticize them. They are saving you time and money when doing this. They have done similar comparison videos before with the same results. I for one won't watch a influencer that has to struggle with words because another brand is better.

I've seen a birthday present from my husband (which I wasn't supposed to as my birthday is not til next week) - a Cricut Explore Air 2. I'm now exploring all the opportunities available to me in the crafting world. These are some of the BEST tips I have seen so far. As I'm in the UK I may not have the access to some of the stores mentioned, but we do have Amazon, so I'll be using that as much as possible. Thank you for your trial and error of products. It'll save us all money in the long run. I've never been a 'brand' person and love to save money where I can!
