How is the bass response? Would you recommend these to Drum and Bass DJ for home setup (medium sized room)?

I can tell by looking at them I wouldn’t recommend them for drum bass, the top size up would be more suited. But I wouldn’t recommend them. Tannoy is an extremely good make.

Im using Tannoy gold 5 with a REL subwoofer and an ifi Zen signature DAC . The Sound stage and detail and warm sound is Amazing.

Tannoy isn't a brand that come to mind when I listen to Drum and Bass. Barefoot Sound is more like what you are looking for.

Yeah, the Gold 8 is too big for my desk. But I think big is better. I got 3 different preamplifiers to try the speakers with. Class A, full tube, and the JDS EL amp2. So I want to experiment. My 40+ years old ears, can handle the highs.

Bro these speakers don't make no sense to me they don't sound flat and the bass is not that good but maybe they needed time to work in I only had them a few days before returning them

Quested V series, I use them in my studio. I'm looking at these Tannoys as a secondary set of monitors, they sound nice from what I've heard.

The most accurate monitors I’ve used are the Neumann KH310s, but I use the Tannoy Gold 7s as my second monitors

THE SETUP IS NOT RIGHT. ECHO ROOM IS AWFUL.SECOND BUT ALSO VERY IMPORTANT SPEAKER STAND TO REDUCE VIBRATION AND TO BE ON EAR LEVEL. EVEN IF SPEAKER HAVE FRONT PORT LIKE IN THIS SITUATION YOU MUST KEEP IT AT LEAST 30 CM AWAY FROM WALL. YOU CAN HAVE THE BEST SPEAKER FROM WORLD IF U DONT HAVE ROOM TREATMENT ITS WASTE OF MONEY.
