Introducing #TanpuraSessions 🪕
As a little girl, I was trained n Hindustani Classical, and continue to learn on. And for as long as I can remember, there’s been a deep, ever growing desire in my heart, that’s wanted me to present some of my favorite raags in either the form of a Chhota Khayaal or Thumri, Kajri or the like.
Here’s presenting the first episode of Tanpura Sessions.
An association with the very prestigious Brooke Bond Taj Mahal Tea’s #SurKeSaath, an online rendezvous of Music, and some of Indian Classical Music’s Young and Promising Maestros.
The concept being about Songs from the Indian Film Industry based on Indian Classical Music, the first raag HAD TO be Puriya Dhanashri, and the khayal Had To be Paayaliya Jhankaar ❣️
Having grown up with this, I only felt this would be the best way to start Tanpura Sessions too!
I hope you enjoy Listening, as much as I did Performing.
