I started my journey 5 years whit vivos . I have a pair so wildings for almost 4 years, their are my only shoes in spring and I walk a lot. They are in excellent shape and they’re the most wonderful shoes I have ever got!

Even though I came across your video researching barefoot shoes, it was so relaxing watching this video, you have such a gentle, calming energy! Thank you for being you ❤✨

Nice to see a Wildling review! Great job. I've been on the barefoot shoe journey since last August. I started with some cheap ones from Amazon, but as soon as I realized the benefits, Wildling was the first serious barefoot shoe company I purchased from. I got a pair of Tanuki Niji and a pair of Martens. They've held up beautifully, even though they don't look like they will. I agree with you on the fact that Wildlings are probably the most minimal and barefoot of barefoot shoes -- at least of the ones I've tried. They feel fantastic when walking on grass and you definitely need to learn proper walking technique on hard surfaces. I've gotten quite a lot of compliments and questions about them - even from my physical therapist. My other barefoot shoe purchases have been from XeroShoes and Be Lenka, which are wonderful shoes, but Wildling still remain my favorite.

Oh your physical therapist asked about them? I’m curious to what they thought! Thanks for the comment 🙏

I got some wildling kuls (same model, different materials), and I had a big issue with the insoles slipping around and being uncomfortable, forcing me to take them out. The bottom on the inside really wears down fast, so I stuck sports tape to the inside, and ever since they have been perfect as super minimalist shoes. Out of the box, the insole should not slip around and be uncomfortable, and the sole beneath that should be durable enough that you can use the shoe when you inevitably take the insole out. Otherwise, it is perfect for anyone who loves walking around properly barefoot. Would not recommend for most people unless you are prepared to take the insole out immediately and tape the bottom to make them not wear out so fast.

Do you have the correct size? None of my three Wildlings shoes even has an insole, but I've added the felt wool one from Wildling for colder weather wear of my Tanuki Yuro (can wear with warm toe socks, too), and added one that came from a Lems shoe that I replaced with a Lems cork sole) to a Wildling "boot"--all are perfect.

Have you heard of water shoes/beach socks? I got a pair for 500 Rupees (6.09 dollars) and they're the best- cheap, simple and super comfy. I can even feel the tiny groves on the floor. The ones I got are called "Lify Water Shoes by Monark International". I'm not sure if they sell outside of India but you should find similar shoes there too. I've been wearing them for 5 months to office, to walks, to runs, and only now they are starting to wear out (only a little bit though). Do check them out friend. I hope you are doing well :)

I have the tanuki as well, and sometimes I feel like they are too hot cause I find my feet warming themselves up very well when moving and would want them to be even more breathable xD overall I'm very pleased with them then are one of my favorite shoes

I have the same shoes and love them, a bit pricey but I like how the materials that are used is well thought out. Great review!

Have you had luck cleaning them? Can’t seem to get the pollen out

Good review. I have worn a pair for about 6 months and agree with your points. I mainly wear mine outside for walking. They have held up very well. And have been an excellent summer shoe. 2 downsides though. The insoles can bunch at the end if I run in them which is a minor annoyance. Most other shoes have a sole that is a cup. In these the fabric is on the bottom. While I like that when it is dry they pick up water really easily. I wore them to a concert once and they absorbed all the spilt beer from the floor which was really gross. So you can’t wear them everywhere.

they look like a good pair. bit less “loud” than most other barefoot shoes and surprised at how durable they’ve held up after 3 months!

These ate also my favorite barefoot shoe. They are light and allow me to feel the ground under me. Wildling sells a woolen insole, and that helps keep my feet warm on cooler days.

It’s made with paper! That’s why no washer. You know that!

what i like about these, the soles appear to be stitched to the upper. they will surely last. im tired of shoes that split apart after a few years, sometimes after hard use.

Yes for sure, especially when they cost so much!

Nice video thank you, it would have been helpful to hear your experience regarding the sizing. Did you find you needed to size up/down or go with your usual ?

I have a pair of Tanuki Yoru's and I love them better than my vivobarefoot abd Xeros, and this only because my wildlings feel more like socks and I can feel the ground a bit more. I still love my other barefoot shoes but like I said, my wildlings are in first place.

How did the width of these compare to VivoBarefoot? I found the wildings to be a bit too narrow for my feet.
@thrownness5210 ай бұрын
They have a pair that is $20 cheaper called the Fundo now. It doesn't use the same hybrid paper material for the upper I guess. I wonder how much of a difference that makes 🤔

And they have new insoles on the site. I’m gonna go ahead and order me a couple of pair.

Great review! May I ask what size you use in these and the vivos and if you know how long your feet are?😀 From what I see they dont have womens and mens models? Just one line of shoes?

The price is high... however the durability does seem better than I thought.... that is the benefit these reviews provide. I wasnt willing to purchase since they look like they might fall apart... especially made of paper. ...
@_TerraRae_ Жыл бұрын
Yes I also questioned the durability before I bought it. However like I said In the video, im a few months in and they don’t seem to be wearing and tearing at all, so I’m pleasantly surprised.

I was wondering, if you usually wear socks with the shoes does that take away from the barefoot experience. I seems like socks would restrict the foot. What socks do you wear with them? Also , maybe the reason why the shoes aren’t machine washable could be something to do with any adhesive that could be used in the manufacture? It most likely wouldn’t withstand high temperatures or rough and tumble if the machine.
@_TerraRae_ Жыл бұрын
Yea socks are restrictive, I use toe socks when I wear these shoes as it allows my toes to splay! And yes I might be the adhesive glue!
@humberton2306 Жыл бұрын
Socks are restrictive, but barely. Socks are only about half mm thin and super flexible.
@humberton2306 Жыл бұрын
Toe socks are great in my opinion.

These look wonderful. I'm confused. If they are made from paper how long will they last? Thank you.
@humberton2306 Жыл бұрын
These are a special kind of Japanese paper. Not like the notebook paper we're familiar with. They're like a super thin canvas type feel, where as light shines through.
