In 1987 the great Maestro Naushad Ali visited our county, we had a beautiful get-together with him, I sang a Mohd Rafi ji song, and he was very happy, and he commented so nicely on my song, I am still keeping those precious words. for me, those words are more precious than any Grammy award or so.

Rafi sahab was 55 in 1979. He left us just an year later.i am simply amazed what an incredible throw he commanded even at this age when its just next to impossible to sing the songs which he sang many many years earlier.undoubtedly its the hallmark our beloved genius especially the alaap of parda hai(2) AAA fame.What scale! What range! Tanveer mian thanks a ton for preserving& sharing this rare stage show. Its so heartening to learn from you that you were in the audience as a child & got the good fortune of not only listening to our beloved Legend but also lucky enough to have shaken hands with him.
