Love to watch Dorise's face as Tanya blows us away. RIP Dorise. You two were pure magic together!

I'm from Georgia, and discovering this for the first time! This song is a Georgia staple and means so much to all Georgia natives! This arrangement, performance spoke to my soul in every way possible, and gave me tears ! I'm a musician myself and knows what it takes to deliver your soul, joy and passion to the world to hear. You two are amazing and compliment each other in only a way your souls are linked together! Thanks giving me this joy, even years later. Much love!

THAT is the way a violin should be played...from the soul, eyes closed and without sheet music.

Tanya Huong and Dorise Blackmon whatr a team! I never heard Georgia on my mind played as fantastic as this. Its a continuous solo performance on the violin, full of emotion and expression, seemingly endless without repetition of phrases! I send you my love and admiration!

I thought it was Ray Charles song?
@karronlaneNOLA9 жыл бұрын
That's Tanya Huang & Dorise Blackmon, exceptionally talented street musicians who work in the French Quarter in New Orleans. Yes, it's a Ray Charles song.
@johnfaler129 жыл бұрын
+Zee Pere It was written in 1930 by Hoagy Carmicheal {music} and Stuart Gorrell {lyrics}. Cover version by Ray Charles in 1960 . It became the official state song of Georgia in 1979.
