Good luck Tanya!... I have absolute respect for her...her objective assessment of current and past affairs affecting the nation is far more enlightening than we have been getting from mainstream media. if even 10% of media hustlers (so-called journalists) were as objective and strived for some integrity in disseminating accurate information Jamaica could be a better place. Respect Anthony Miller ...great interview as usual (wish others would emulate you)

Honestly, those who died from COVID-19 in Jamaica would be more than happy & accepting to the idea of lock down & still be alive. The lock down was forced on the people but death toll remains low. Discomfort is a small price to pay to hold on to life, look how everyone can move freely now. Respect to life & the mercies of God.
@soniaharrison10162 жыл бұрын
She is not saying that the decision to lockdown was wrong, she feels as do many that the implementation was seriously lacking in planning and consideration for people who were financially challenged. Even in the good old USA they made sure that wherever you landed on the economic spectrum, you were afforded that extra $600.00 per week for almost the entire year. I realize that Jamaica's economy is not in the same place as the US, but there were a lot of things that could have been put in place to assist people. I totally admire Tanya, for going where others fear to tred.
@kenysmith25532 жыл бұрын
@@soniaharrison1016 I'm not attacking her, just giving a view from the other side of the spectrum. I agree with you that there were no plans from our government going into the lock down, a lot of people suffer through that period of time & I sympathize with them, but I am happy for those who survive. My dad wasn't so lucky, I'm not being pitiful at this point, just simply care about the preservation of life. It was mr Andrew holness first time going through a pandemic as leader, so I hope he took notes off his short comings. Peace ✌️

I love Tanya, love her songs, here’s what I don’t like, not only with her but with a lot of artists after they becomes successful, they talk about social media like it’s something bad when it’s the same platform that made them more successful and more popular in the first place.
@trishjames27302 жыл бұрын
Why do you say social media made her successful? I feel like her success was before social media.
@tanyastephens77252 жыл бұрын
Correction: I think social media is an amazing tool. Also...i've gained nothing from it commercially. Nuff love❤
@ronsmith2862 жыл бұрын
@@trishjames2730 I never said social media made her a success, if you read carefully and understood what you were reading, you’d see I Merely stated the fact that social media gives access to a wider range of people some of which who would’ve never heard of her, and I for one is one of those people, also, case in point, if it wasn’t for “social media” I wouldn’t have known anything about this same interview.
@ronsmith2862 жыл бұрын
@@tanyastephens7725 with all due respect, I think you’re being a little hypocritical, because I for one learned about you through social media, and though you may have been successful, I for one never heard of you, so I’d say yes you did gain commercially from “social media”, case in point, if it wasn’t for social media I’d would’ve known nothing of this same interview. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying social media is the cause for your success, that’s due to your great talent, I just merely stated the fact that social media give access to a lot more people that otherwise wouldn’t have been there, still you’re one of my favorite artist, saw you live a few times, was excellent.🌹❤️
@trishjames27302 жыл бұрын
@@ronsmith286 I understand what you are saying. However for this particular musician, she doesn’t gain much success through social media. If you were referring to younger musicians then you would have a better argument. Popularity does not equate to success. Yes social media makes her more popular but views don’t make an artist of her caliber “more successful.” Possibly you’re applying the definition of broadcasting media instead of social media. Broadcasting and mass media definitely play a role in the success of any musician. Digitalized versions of broadcasting and mass media aren’t considered social media.

As the great Bob said many will have to suffer many will have to die don't asked why, we are victims of our doing, when I see how much land we have in the countryside and people's lives like they do not know how, I shake my head Andrew Holness need help for him own self. As Jamaican we should not have any reason to suffer, worse than the pandemic is coming are we just going to lie down and dead we are King and Queen it full time we ack our part.
