It is usually best to watch the parodied show first before watching the parody. Otherwise many of the jokes don't land and also spoilers. And Tanya is fantastic. The original Japanese name of the show is "War diaries of a little girl," but for some reason translators decided to spice it up for English audience. It has 1 season, an OVA and a movie, in that order. Would highly recommend.

Hey Melon. This is from the anime: Saga of Tanya the evil Tanya praised God cause she needed to. Truck Kun (or Train Chan if you want) is also the God of her new reality. She only has her special powers (like that long range artillerie shoot you saw at 13:00) after she praised him. He basically forces her to do so every time she want to use her powers.

Fun fact: Tanya, despite the video talking about her war crimes, never actually breaks a single law. She manipulates the situation to allow her to use maximum force and follows through with gusto. She does some heinous, but legal, shit.

The show is actually abaut God traping Tanya in this World and trowing as many obstacles at them as posible in order to make them believe in him, meanwhile Tanya, aware of this is trying to live a good life to spite god, doing all they can to get out of the front lines and win the war to be able to live comfortably

12:00 its noit really a catchphrase Cj is just conveyiung the emotions of the original. Tanya will be calm and cordial while killing you or not batting an eye so Cj dubbing it as greetings even though she's about to kill them. Also CJ didn't really convey it well imo but at 11:20 its something you only really understand if you watch the anime. Canonically Tanya's body is 10 but before she got reincarnated she was a 40 year old buisnessman so despite her being ten she speaks in complete sentences and it sounds like an adult woman speaking instead of a ten year old girl. In the context of the scene they were preparing to attack a civilian area that was also responsible for military supplies i think and because its a civilian area to not get hit with war crimes you have to announce that you are enemy soldiers and will fire so that the civilians can attempt to flee the area. However, like I said Tanya usually sounds like a youngish adult woman but in this scene the VA and character change their voice so they sound like an actual 10 year old little girl like she actually is. So what all the civilians and soldiers hear is a cutesy little girl voice going "Sensei. Sensei we will blow up this area.we are the enemy forces civiliansd are free to leave." but because she sounds like a little girl with her stumbling over words and such the people think of it as a litltle girl playing a prank. Tanya waits like 5 minutes then sayus well we warned em and opens fire leveling the city. quite insane if you really think about it which ios why she is on this table.

A lot of CJ’s recount of the show is mostly for jokes and over exaggerating the acts of Tanya. Yes Tanya does some seriously messed up stuff but there’s always a reason behind it. For example, when she sent Kurtz and Harold to die in the pillbox, she tried to give them an out by sending them home, but they stated they refused to go home and were ready and willing to do anything to served and die for their country. So, Tanya sent them to that pillbox to serve and die for their country.

yeah limit their stupidity to only getting themselves killed. And the whole family wouldn't have gotten killed by Tanya if they hadn't invaded Tanya's country and tried to kill her on multiple instances, also note its always them holding a grudge and initiating combat with Tanya and not the other way around. She also helps the competent individuals (regardless if it is just for looks it still did actual good for them) develop and put them in officer course to advance.

You really should watch the show! It's a really good anime! Yes, there are spoilers, but the best thing about CJ's videos is that when he breaks down what happens in these shows, he tells you enough to know what happens, but not enough to ruin the whole show. After watching this video an extra 6 or 7 times, I decided to check out Saga of Tanya. And nothing he said apart from a a couple major plot points made me feel like he ruinded the show for me. Instead I was looking forward to seeing how it all played out in real time!

The show is basically.... Tanya vs God. God is the reason Tanya is Tanya. Yes, actual God. Kinda weird he didn't mention that. God actually talks to her throughout the show, and They got beeeeef! God just wants her/him to be a better person, to believe in him and pray to him ...if only just one time. Tanya is like "eh...why the f would I do that. f that and f you." 💀 So God's like ....well damn . . . 🤣 God is also like .....if you won't pray, maybe it's because you don't feel a need to, you don't feel that life requires it. .....but what if the right situation were to happen.... what then?
