She certainly pities the loss of human capital but not for the individual people but their worth to her, so the enemy has a negative value and should be killed in her mind of a business(wo)man (thats my way of looking at it)

Tanya is easily one of my top 5 anime villains, and is in the top 10 for favorite anime characters of all time. (Edit): Quick update for those commenting, I know that she's the protagonist of the show, but fun literature fact for you, 'protagonist' and 'hero' are two different things. The 'protagonist' is the main character of whatever story you're reading, and the 'antagonist' is the person/entity/structure that fights against the protagonist. The 'protagonist' can be a 'villain', and the 'antagonist' can be a Hero. this is shown in the Saga of Tanya because Tanya herself feels little to no remorse for killing and lying to people for personal gain, making her a villainous protagonist, while Mary is a heroic antagonist because her goals are to stop the war and get revenge for her father

Her nuke attack do you know how many ground troops does that kill? Are you stupid Tanya still human she would still care. You say she only cares about survival and climbing the ranks that’s so stupid do think humans are that simple? She cares about other things too.
