The joke is that the song is about "Night Witches", which are from the USSR, which was the enemy in the face of the Federation in the film. Author, you have a sense of humor. And the clip turned out to be good, and the dynamka of movements fits into the rhythm of the song.

TBH this is the most epic AMV that I have ever seen of Youjo Senki along with the "Gott mit Uns" AMV (also a sabaton song). I just love rewatching the beginning and the final moments of the clip and seeing Tanya's determined gaze and then the map of the Empire. It's just E P I C !!! :D

I love imagining the perspective of the "French" soldiers at the Rhine. You are bogged down in brutal trench warfare when the sky above you gets even more active than usual. You look up to see a tiny girl child dancing on the wind singing praises to God, all while slaughtering your own sides mages in feats of power and grace that you can't even comprehend. Your first thought would be a pixie, dancing through the sky and emitting pretty lights. If those lights didn't bring the death of your comrades. Instead, the only word that fits the horrors that you see is "devil."
