Tanzania | From Dar es Salaam to Zanzibar via Ferry

For many visitors your trip to Tanzania may not start in Zanzibar but you have plans to visit the beautiful island. With two ferry companies you can go from Dar es Salaam to Zanzibar.
I used Azam Marine both times.The checking and boarding experience were interesting. I travelled December 2020 at this time documents needed for entry were passport and yellow fever as visitors must clear immigration
Moving around Stone town can be done on foot whilst getting to other places you can us Taxi, boda boda, Dala dala, Rent a car , scooter or bicycle.

@@mahetar8289 whilst i didnt experience any theft during my visit. I heard of a couple of incidents but the bottom line is probably dont leave valuables visible /exposed ie speaking on the phone whilst on a boda or whilst in a taxi in traffic. I personally dont use my camera in the property I am staying at until the last morning except its an airbnb where i am alone.
