I remember back packing with my boyfriend back in 1989 through East Africa and South Africa. I spent time in Tanzania and wow so different, it was a sleepy city back then and when we travelled over to Zanzibar it was definitely slow travel then as we all went the same mode of transport which was a Dhow boat. I loved my six months in Africa, great travel back then and everyone was super kind and friendly and no issues with any safety. Zanzibar def has changed as well as it was a small rural town with hardly tourists back then.

Thank you Jason! This is your strenght showing day to day environment, I started following you with Alger alleys video, despite I found it a little bit scary the maze of the narrow streets in the dark and the as you said "chaotic" ports, it definitly is a change of scenery from the tipical travel video, that shows only the nice "side", your style is more authentic and unique! Enjoy! 😍

@@greggbambu411 Hello. Just wanted to let you know that Jesus loves you very much. He is coming back very soon and He wants you to be ready. Just go to Him as you are. You don’t have to be perfect. The only thing He requires is a full surrender of your life. Go to Him and give Him your life and everything. Once you surrender everything (from the heart). He will give you The Holy Spirit in His fullness. The Holy Spirit will then give you faith, the power to overcome sin, peace, fulfillment and above all, eternal life. You cannot do it on your own strength. It’s only by the Holy Spirit. And you get The Holy Spirit once you lay everything down, including your life at The Lord’s feet. He says in His Word “Not by might, not by power but by my Spirit”. People think Christianity is boring. That’s because they see it as a religion. Christianity is not a religion, but a personal relationship with Jesus Christ who loves you and gave Himself for you. Having a relationship with Christ is the most joyful fulfilling thing you can ever have. Jesus changed my life and He wants to change yours as well. The reason we are all here is to fellowship with and have a relationship with God.

Just WONDERFUL!! I LOVE IT!! It has always been on my bucket list to go to Zanzibar. And your filming through Africa to get here is absolutely exceptional because you add everything in such a way that it is like being your buddy whilst doing these absolutely amazing travel experiences together. And having done so many travels like this during the younger years of my life I can reflect as a well travelled worldly seventy year old in carrying out this journey to Zanzibar and looking at the spectacular historical architecture which reflects the sensational history of this unique city which has had such an influence on that part of Africa and indeed of the beginnings of various European, Persian and Indian influences bringing about this conglomeration of amazing cultures etc. One can go on and on of course! I am carrying your bag haha! as we do this journey together and I guess many other people watching your videos, especially the ones who have travelled extensively, must feel the same way. You certainly have a captive audience with people like myself. Well done again. Looking forward to seeing you for at least the next ten years as you continues your life journeys whilst documenting your stunning onward travels to interesting and sometimes remote and usually always exotic places.

I ❤️ just hearing , thinking and saying ZANZIBAR! It sounds so adventurous and romantic. Boarding the ferry was a definite ordeal. Jason , you handled it with aplomb, though. I think I would need a shot or two of Jack Daniels to steady my nerves. Loved the hotel. That sunken tub! That balcony! I rarely say this on my travels but that's a room I could spend a day in just bathing and being on the balcony with a good book and some tea and/or cocktail. Can't wait for more....
