I'd prefer the Tanzanian SGR. Since the Sgr is planned to run up to Kigoma on to Burundi the stakes are very much higher than that of our neighbours.

Tanzania SGR uses electricity, not diesels of Kenya. Tanzanian SGR is a strategic project, and it looks for future development compared with Kenyan SGR

Kenyan SGR also connects to Uganda, Rwanda, and Congo too. Just like TZ SGR, Kenyan one is yet complete. Also, Kenyan one ends in Naivasha which more than 150 kms from Nairobi. Plans are underway to extend it to Uganda border and make it electric. However, both of them are awesome projects.

The problem will come on maintenance. Tanzanian government is not very good on maintaining anything. From housing to any project. They build and walk away. Tanzania-Zambia railway, it has been left to rot. Let us wait and see the rail in 5 years
