Magufuli did a great job which is fulfilled by Mama Samia.
@bagumampenda3 ай бұрын
For those who wondering why the train has to stop kupishana. It's a single line. We started the project with no money at all. Western countries had refused to support us and Chinesse loans would be a finger up where the sun don't shine. So the Late Magufuli literally buldozed the project and decided "Tutajenga hivyo hivyo kwa pesa zetu." Which we thought we did not have, but akabana mafisadi na wapika dili. So we started meagre but here we are 7 years later. Those that had refused to fund now want to, wameona yanawezekana. The line will run for 1,800km to Tabora, Mwanza, Kigoma and to Musongati in Burundi and Rusumo in Rwanda. The lesson here is clear. "Wewe anza, watakuja tu."

Seems like a fool's comment. Development is not measured with train or stadium alone or roads alone. Development is first human development ( Human Development Index) and infrastructural development ( both horizontal and vertical ). When all these are put together, Kenya becomes the most developed nation in East Africa, followed by Ethiopia and Tanzania. Development cannot be determined by watching a single or many video clips. It is determined by research by economists. The research is then compiled into a published report.

I took this train from Dodoma to Dar es salaam. It is impressive, but the only annoying thing is security checks, it is like at the airport before boarding an aeroplane. This process doesn't exist in Europe. In Europe you can show up at the train station even 5 minutes before departure which is impossible in Tanzania. In Brussels, they also have barriers and ticket scanning, but no x-ray machines.
@mcback43843 ай бұрын
Are you complaining about Europe for things they're missing from Africa?
@ngamaizinzi39873 ай бұрын
Tanzania is not a copy cut country, Europe is not a standard for everything. Security check is important for safety purpose. Sema hii maswala ya ID na passport kwakwel huwa sielewi.
@askuri_3 ай бұрын
Europe is not missing out on security checks. Trains in Europe can be going every 3 minutes within the big cities. The overhead for security checking such amounts of people would be insane. Even without security checks, there is not a worth mentioning amount of terrorist attacks within trains (you could also place your bomb somewhere on the track if you really wanted to). I recall an incident where someone was stabbed inside a train or something but that could also happen on the street. Mind you, terrorism and crime exists in Europe as well. Besides all that, how many people die on the roads per day? Trains are the safest mode of transportation there is and the more people use it, the less people die in cars instead. So we should keep barriers to using trains as low as possible if we care about the life of people.
