Grt video can you show how u did the motor mount
@josephatnip23984 жыл бұрын
with the right modifications and moving the governor that little motors capable of producing about 20 horsepower which would be stupid fast on that but if you haven't had problems yet get yourself some extra belts for that CVT transmission they tend to eat them up I suggest going to a scooter shop they sell Kevlar belts there there are a lot heavier duty

Bro that was a awesome video but parts parts where did you get the part that you bolted the motor on? How the torque converter?
@nate321854 жыл бұрын
I assume your asking about the engine plate? You can get them on eBay for $20 or so. Just search for “212 engine plate.” The torque converter is a standard 30 series also on eBay.

How do you go about figuring out what chain you need to go from the engine to the wheel?
@nate32185 Жыл бұрын
Usually you match up the chain with the sprocket from the quad. In most cases though, clutches for predator 212 engines will use #40 or #420.

Is it pull start now? Or did you hook up all the electronics back on (electric start/ lights)? Nice install. I'm tired of fixing our 125cc
@nate321854 жыл бұрын
Yes, it is a pull start now. We plan to take out the governor soon for a little extra power. Oldest kid using it is 12 and it’s a little slow governed. 12 year old still has a hard time pull starting. Needs an adult to start, I look at that as a good thing.😉

Unfortunately, you can’t as electric start to the Hemi version that he has. You’d have to change the flywheel to add electric start. The non Hemi version can be converted to electric start easily.

What top speed will 212cc motor run and I can't believe they are fastest motor ever seen on quad any project on go karts, buggy,ride on power wheels be fun build of any projects and designed
@nate321854 жыл бұрын
Yes the 212 is very versatile. As for top speed. Ungoverned with same setup on a mini bike will do 45mph. On the quad maybe 35-40mph.

What gearing are you running? I ran a 10 tooth front sprocket for a few months on almost the exact set up it wouldnt pull wheelies and when I ride it (190lbs) It wouldnt go up big hills without a run at it and eventually went thru a belt, just swapped to a 8 tooth front sprocket and I am very pleased with the increased torque(I have a 37 tooth rear sprocket) also I have an intake and filter and jetted carburetor.
@nate321856 жыл бұрын
We have a gear ratio of 3.7. 16” tires, 37 tooth rear, 10 tooth front. Eventually we will swap out the 10t for an 8t. It’s fine for the kids, but it struggles with an adult, especially riding uphill.
@calebproductions59704 жыл бұрын
A 10 tooth should be ripping it up.something else wrong
@16driver164 жыл бұрын
@@calebproductions5970 hahaha, did you see his gear ratio?! 3.7:1 with 16" tires is the issue, like it was on mine.

I’m curious, Could you have changed the rear sprocket to help instead? If so what which way would you go in size? I want to go with a direct approach. No tc. Budget build

mine came with a 428 chain any links for a torque converter for 428
@nate321854 жыл бұрын
You could always switch out the sprocket on the secondary clutch with the one you want. Then you can run whatever chain you want. I would try to match it to the rear sprocket so you won’t have to swap that out too.

Where do I get a clutch setup to make this work. My kid has a taotao Chinese motor and looking to do this swap. Any info on a how to
@nate321854 жыл бұрын
The clutches were part of a 30 series torque converter kit. You can get them for $50 - $100 on eBay or Amazon. www.ebay.com/itm/332431324228. You will also need a engine plate. www.ebay.com/itm/153936000054. You will also need to do some welding if you have access to a welder.

where do you get the snowmobile style pulleys from?
@nate321856 жыл бұрын
The pulleys/clutches come as part of a 30 series torque converter kit or CVT. The kits usually include driver and driven clutches, backplate with jackshaft for driven clutch, belt and CVT cover. They range in price. This one was an eBay special. $50
