Taormina, Sicily - Walking Tour in 4K - Beach, Pedestrian Street, Architecture, and Atmosphere

A beautiful day in gorgeous Taormina, Sicily filmed on June 5, 2022.
Starting at the Catania entrance of Corso Umberto, the volcano of Mt. Etna can be viewed in the distance. We move along to Piazza IX Aprile and Piazza Duomo and the public gardens for a spectacular view of the Mediterranean. A visit to the Isola Bella below to see the beautiful beach and we conclude with a tour of the Greek Theatre and an overlook of the city from a nearby hike.

This is a beautiful towm. Taormina I heard is one of the biggest tourist towns in Sicily. So many beautiful sight. Even for early June I see a lot of tourists. This is definitely in my bucket list for Sicily. Thanks for video.

Hai pienamente ragione, and for those reading in English… You’re quite right, you can’t have a ‘porto’ (port for ships) 200m up the side of a mountain which is where Taormina is sited; it should be the Porta Catania (in this case, porta = gate).
