you need to bind dpad to scroll wheel down to scroll inside the deathbox layout: steam://controllerconfig/1172470/3157925218 superglide dpad down + fast heal left trigger dpad up and right (bind your batt and cells to u & i ). you could use your own layout configs and then edit it like its showin in the video.

The left stick and looting prevents me from using this setup regularly. I cannot get the left stick to act similar enough to a regular controller joystick: when I strafe I have a limited range of motion which is not comparable to the range of motion pre nerf

For whoever is wondering, your aim assit won't come back for 0.5 seconds after you last tap strafed. This makes it hard to tap strafe and then immediately lock your aim on an enemy.

AA should help you with tracking. And 0.5 delay for aim assist to active is not a big deal. You still can aim and shoot.

@BreaksyOG haha np. The day tap strafe for controller was "removed", I went straight to the range and did a ton of testing while making new custom configs to still be able to tap strafe. I was wondering when someone else online would also figure it out. Lurch and aim assist have a .5 second delay once the game detects whether or not you're using a mouse or controller stick for its primary movement input.

@BreaksyOG haha yeah . Tap strafing on controller is just so much fun. Having those extra movement options make the game so much more interesting. I'm glad Respawn found a way to get rid of neo tap strafing, but unfortunately the side effect of that is not being able to tap strafe in a normal capacity anymore. I'm interested in seeing your looting method. That's the only other thing that really suffers from these new config work arounds. I wish steam configs allowed multiple shift modes per the same button. That would help solve some issues.

the steam layout pretty much does it all for you, thank you. I just can't figure out the aim assist part. But adding to that when i originally did my cfgs (1 year ago) there was a way to change the intensity of your tap strafe but I don't remember where to locate this.

Thats why i did the video and didnt share the layout only. You can keep your own layout and bind. Just edit the moving part with the left and right joystick. For the game to not block the tapstrafe for you.

@@busted1001 try to set turbo repaet to.10 insted of .100 You can also bind the scrollwheel up to w in game And switch the w in steam to scroll wheel Also make sure that your tapstrafe activating button doesnt intract with another modeshift activation

To be honest, this is great. But Tap strafing is quite delayed. Do you have any solutions for a controller setup for just tap strafing? (Not wasd while looting, strictly just tap strafing). I have tried almost everything on my end, even replicating this setup.

I dont use scripts or third party software to get tap strafe. Just using mnk buttons in stram config to tap strafe which still allowed

To change the tap strafe button Change the activation button for the left stick mode shift from right bumper to leftstick click. @@orionbarrera6127 im making a video how to make the layout if im using a diffrent button for tap strafe u only need to change that button Keep in mind when changing the tapstrafe button it might affect something else Right bumper u cant ping so we are doing mode shift for that. Leftstick click you cant zome in and out in scoops, so u are making mode shift for that Right bumpr is easier to hold when tap strafing In my next video im doing leftstick tapstrafe and right and left bumper for jump and slide

If you keep l2 to aim and r2 to shoot in steam cfg When ever you aim or shoot the game will detect the contoller input and the aim assist will work just fine
