Thank you for the awesome and simple-to-follow video. I hope you will use this to build a dashboard that uses simple bearer token authentication. That would be very helpful. Thank you.

Dynamic Colors Themes and Modes in Next.js + Shadcn UI - modes will be like dar, light, system, and the them can be like color, it will reflect based on the mode we choose. i m not getting what is the best appoch to do this. can you make a video on this?
@tapasadhikary2 ай бұрын
Thanks for following up on this with me... This is how shadcn/ui works for theming... It has two distinguished mutually exclusive entities for theme control. 1. Themes => Red, Rose, Green, .... Custom 2. Modes => Light, Dark, System. The Themes and Modes are not same. They can be applied together but they do not replace one another. This is a philosophy in the shadcn/ui. That's why when you copy a theme code you can both :root and :dark variables so that all the three modes can be satisfied for a given theme. The standard practice in shadcn/ui is to, set up the mode using following this doc: ui.shadcn.com/docs/dark-mode/next. And then apply the theme by selecting one and copying the code from here: ui.shadcn.com/themes The standard practice is not to use the themes and modes alternatively. Not sure if this will be allowed in future but for now they are not one other's replacements.
