Introspecting & analysing the different factors that lead a student to become a performer. From a class of 20, why only a few take to the stage?
Tapasya - the training sessions, is a series of videos that will be published on a monthly basis (as episodes) on the last day of every month.
The students featuring in Tapasya series have about 6-8 classes every month. Each episode of Tapasya is a cumulative overview of what is taught to them during the course of the month.
Along with the training sessions of the children, Tapasya also holds inputs on teaching techniques from Smt. Sheela Unnikrishnan and useful tips from the regular performers of Sridevi Nrithyalaya.

Our copyright policies on SDN's productions
Since SDN is run by SRIDEVI NRITHYALAYA TRUST, all the productions of SDN, be it music or dance, become intellectual property of the Trust. Sridevi Nrithyalaya Trust (SDNT) owns all the productions and will not allow anyone to download or use SDN videos/audios, even it is meant to be for non-commercial purpose.
Our social media team, assisted with a legal team, watchfully works in curbing audios/videos of Sridevi Nrithyalaya that have been used in unauthorized way and uploaded in social media. Though we do not put up copyright declarations in all our videos, we strictly adhere to legal formalities and procedures regarding copyrights.
We honestly work hard and spend a good time and amount of our resources to produce our music and dance videos. They are produced and uploaded in our social platforms solely to take our art to all those raiskas around the globe who are unable to reach us in person to enjoy SDN's art live.
It is not about 'misuse' or 'trying to support' our dance and audio productions by just giving credits. Art is for all for sure. Our productions uploaded in social platforms are for the art lovers worldwide to WATCH and ENJOY but definitely not for copying or reproducing without SDNT's authorisation.
SDNT has anonymously derived to this strong conclusion. Therefore, SDN or any individual from SDN would be not to able to grant anyone permission to reproduce our work of any form.

Another one question also mam.. what is ur kind advise to young teachers? As they are new to teaching field, they cannot wait for 2-3 years to get perfect postures.. an established dance school like urs may do so and parents will be ready to accept as they know that this wait will be fruitful at the end..and this is also proven in SDN performances.. but the same cannot be followed by teachers who have just begun teaching.. kindly give a small piece of advise to those mam.. thank u..

Thank u for making a full episode on the question i asked in the last episode.. one more question too mam..so, let us say a kid is trying to her full potential, her parents are supportive and all others are going perfect. But she is unable to meet the performer level benchmark expected from u..like an above average student.. will she get a chance to perform may be with simpler choreography or she will never be allowed to do onstage performance?

Namasthe. There is no benchmark in SDN for only perfection in execution of adavus and presentation with good understanding matter for performance. Also, altering choreography for anyone hardly happens and there is only improvisation for betterment. When a student performs, be it a beginner or an experienced one, there is learning and growing in every single stage and everyone becomes better through time. And this is a process that never ends🙏🏽

@@prashanthysethupathy3110 I must explain about what is done in SDN and our way of bringing up a performer. There is no way a student stay below the expectations of a teacher, when she/he gets time to be with the seniors of the school. Every child who can hold Anga Suddham and shows good interest in practising are chosen to perform through side roles in our dance dramas or in small scale performances. Of course, rigorous practice and rehearsals will follow regardless the level of performers and performances. Watching seniors is a great way of learning improvisation and practice makes anyone perfect. Therefore, the student never gets stagnated in learning and improving or being UNABLE TO MEET THE PERFORMER LEVEL BENCHMARK. Our dance is ocean of AANANDHAM and anyone who tastes it once, shall not want to be parted but yearns to sink deep within. We are all living proof of this truth.
