@@kresimirkvoli7593 Non-processed foods. Nothing in a package or from a fast food place. I eat raw garlic, onion, quality, meat like steak, salmon. Low starch veggies- basically Ketovore. I eat Kimchi for gut health- gut makes serotonin (happy chemical.) Never mixed fats and sugar/carbs. It's called Randle Cycle. Even if you don't feel like it, walking, then jogging, lifting can help. People who are down don't feel like it- I get that. Being social, changing your environment, friends, getting a hobby and being social can all help.

It took me 17 years to wake up and at that point the SSRI's were hurting not helping. Through those years I was on an SSRI, Lithium and a Benzo! I now use Marijuana, Vape the actual bud and caffeine (coffee with creamer no sweetener). I also eat no highly/ultra processed foods and limit added sugar to no more than 25 grams a day. Fat and cholesterol are not the boogeyman, highly/ultra processed food and too much sugar is! Oh and seed oils are bad too.

Agreed! I slowly tapered off my benzo (slower than the Ashton Manuel) and finally tapered my AD the same way as my benzo and I’m suffering more than I did when I came off the benzo…so AD’s are just as bad (as well as many other drugs). So sad. 😢

Thank you both so much. Benzos x12y for me, alcoholism progressively worsened over about 28y. Went to medical detox for both and have been clean 3.5y now, but still trying to wean off gabapentin. Had a stroke and craniotomy about 8-9mos after getting sober, so that threw a wrench. Legs are occasionally in severe pain - like tonight - so this was the perfect time to see this, and to hear some reassurance. Thx too re: just wanting the pain to end. Big difference from what people who’ve never had SI may presume. I thank you as a healthcare professional as well. Even my arrogant ass didn’t know some of these things. Very insightful, and it puts me in my place to sit in the pts’ seat for a bit, take the hat off and pay closer attn to taking care of myself. A hundred thank you’s.

I wish psychiatrists knew a lot more or tell what they do know. I have been on Xanax for 40 years. I had a problem when my doctor retired getting a doctor to give them..well I almost died. I am 63 now and have no intention of stopping this drug. I have lowered the dose as far as I can. I am not going to live as long as it takes to withdrawal and I don't abuse them.

Tim, I think your pain is very palpable and I have great compassion for you! I understand too well all of the unintended and never talked about effects associated with pharmaceuticals. There was no discussion of withdrawal, only insistence of compliance. I know that I still am injured by them but I am so much better. It took years to sort of 'wake up' from the fog and like you, I experienced a lot of memory loss. Some have come back but many have not. I wish you all the best! Keep fighting! (I’m hugely grateful that on klon for 35 yrs., (I’m 66 now) I’m 6 mos. away from ending a 2yr. taper & it’s been life as usual .. have some symptoms always had a bit exacerbated, but I can live with. Nicole Lamberson still has some challenges after 8 yrs., however by & large (depending on person, length of time on, 1 or more meds, state of mind going in to & during taper, is the person eating healthy, cutting out alcohol & caffeine, how much stress is in their lives etc. … ALL these things & more can affect who long & severe BIND tolerance will continue. MOST people do find they are their best selves after a year or 18 mos. I’m sorry if for you symptoms are permanent…

You can see the pain and suffering in the guy's eyes. Only those of us that have experienced this kind of suffering will naturally notice these "nuances". My pal was hooked for some 20 years and I got him to see my own doctor who said you have been on these meds too long and took him off. Maybe there is a protocol for withdrawal; they say it is as dangerous to come off abruptly as to start ... if you look round you may find a doctor who will supervise your situation.

Dude you are not stuck forever. When you get into stuff like this and the benzo supposed support groups, are doing more damage than good and I can guarantee you and I don't know you from a bag of Lay's Potato chips, but I can guarantee you that you did not think this way before you entered these support groups. Before you enter these fear-mongering groups, you were not as bad as you are now and I'm not blaming you for it. I actually feel for you I want you to do better, I've gone through opiate addiction with fentanyl, heroin, opioids, not benzos in terms of abuse but trying to get through opiate withdrawal, and extremely high dosages, I felt all of the withdrawal you can in the world and I am clean now, I don't have these Post Acute withdrawal symptoms or any of these issues that people are talking about right now. It's just insane because if you've gone through opiate withdrawal which I can tell you have, you are intelligent and you will be intelligent enough to understand what I am about to tell you, you have been through withdrawal. You've been through opiate withdrawal you know goddamned well that it is not easy it is one constant panic attack that never ends or at least it feels like it won't, it might even last 3 weeks to a month, you might not sleep for a whole month, but, it's dopamine related, meaning people going through opiate withdrawal fiend for this substance, to get better, when it comes to benzodiazepines it's related to gaba's a&b, which I call gaba's alcohol and benzo. They work on similar receptors they have different effects but it's very similar, in terms of the anti-anxiety related effects, but however, if you've been through opiate withdrawal, you know it's not that easy at all. And benzo withdrawal has no dopamine related properties to it so people don't fiend for benzos, not even as much as they do alcohol, however you do have ADHD I'm sure. That is a natural imbalance of dopamine in your brain your norepinephrine system is not normal, neither is mine I've had panic disorder and ADHD since I was about 8 years old, along with multiple traumas, but I can tell you straight up, there is a way off of the buprenorphine, if you get either sublocade or Brixadi, pharmacologically and through formula I would suggest Brixadi, due to certain chemicals involved, I would go with it. It tapers itself off, I have two friends that have been off of it for nearly two years now, they were on buprenorphine treatment for over nearly two decades, and they either well one had no withdrawal symptoms the other had too much sleep which is a blessing for bus recovering opiate addicts, even if you were not I'm using opiates, and you were prescribed them, the brain chemical imbalance is very similar, but I know what you're going through, and I will tell you there is a way out for you, and I don't want you to think that you were stuck. And when it comes to the freaking adderall, the physical withdrawal it's really not there it's really psychological, I was on adderall, Metadate and Adderall xr, for extended periods when I was pubescent to a young adult, and then I stopped taking them because I was a kid I didn't want to take medications, but I will tell you straight up that your ADHD has a lot to do with the suffering that you go through and if you sit there and are anti medication in terms of the medications for ADHD or even your opioid receptors in your brain got and fat cells, you will not regret being on the buprenorphine even though it is a b**** to get off. You have an opportunity now that I didn't have in my day, and I don't know how old you are maybe even in your day you didn't but we didn't have the shots that released in such a slow system that they taper themselves off, without us having to do the work. You can do it, but as for ADHD I wouldn't even recommend stopping the medication because if you have a dopamine imbalance that is genetic, you're going to be miserable. You might need this medication in terms of the Adderall or if you switch to Metadate or if you go to vyvanse, whatever works for you, don't feed into these horror stories because it's going to make you worse. And you are probably so intelligent that you are probably too intelligent for your own well-being, but that's really not the case, use your intelligence as your superpower, the world probably needs people like you, but you don't realize it, until somebody touches myself comes in and tells you please use your quote-unquote disability as a super ability to change the world. Or to at least change the way you view life, you don't need to be depressed, you got this!❤

Bullshit. This happens all the time. And it happened to me. It started with a GP prescribing Valium. I got addicted without even knowing. 10 yrs later, I still can't live without it. I have memory loss, go straight into severe withdrawals if I skip it for more than 6 hrs and many more serious side effects etc. The antidepressant Cymbalta that I was also prescribed knocked me out, so I'd avoid it. Then I'd get so suicidal, I'd have to take it. Even the lowest dose of 30mgs knocks me out. I can't take it all the time. The GP ignored me saying i couldn't take it because I would be tired and unable to stay awake every day after taking it. And then a psychiatrist gave me Ritalin to be able to wake up from the antidepressants. And now I'm addicted to Valium, Ritalin and Lyrica. I wish I'd never touched a single pill in my life. I was never warned of the side effects or the addiction risk or the impossible withdrawal symptoms if I tried to quit. These fucking pharmaceutical companies, GPs and psychiatrists are fucking lunatics and corporate criminals, who are destroying people's lives!

They tried giving me Ambien and Lunesta when I was going through the horrible insomnia from Antidepressants. Thankfully I didn't take them but I did make the horrible mistake of taking ativan trazadone and klonopin which only messed me up more. The insomnia was like being tortured to death 2 hours a night then not being able to sleep for 3 to 4 days. This happened over and over for 2 years with varying severity

Barbiturates, benzodiazapines, and alcohol, work basically the same way. Valium is like a glass of wine in solid form. I used to use Valium at parties to relax me. As I just don't like way booze affects me. And could drive with less effect of the one over the other.

You are completely right, you seem to have the knowledge that there are nearly 9 billion humans on Earth and not everybody reacts the same way to everything, that's why you said navigate. Because this guy's story does not mean everybody's story is going to be the same and it's kind of sick because if you look at the comments, people are saying well I am bed bound and I cannot leave my house I haven't left my house for 20 years, but now that I saw this I will further neglect medications offered to me because I saw this persons story, which means that every single medication in the world is going to hurt me. That is not the case and you are clearly intelligent enough to know that so thank you for this comment because it's not right that people have to suffer all day everyday I mean we have receptors for a reason, if not multiple reasons, but they work, medications hit us and we respond to them because we have receptors for them, if we didn't, they wouldn't work. And some people do have allergic reactions or micro allergic reactions or neuro allergic reactions, and they don't realize it and then all of a sudden one person has a bad reaction now the whole world thinks the medications going to do them the same Justice or Injustice actually, it's kind of screwed up because I don't like seeing people bed down their whole life, but they apparently would rather be bed-bound than sacrifice themselves to the medications that could actually get them out of bed after so many years of being in bed, it's sick because likely they are going to die or be injured permanently from bed sores, when the medications could actually help them get up and get out. Which could make them exercise or get into certain martial arts, they could change their whole lives around but they are obsessed with negativity and now they're going to be stuck in it because they choose to it sounds sick right? That's how humanity is right now nobody wants to be on any medication, I don't like SSRI I don't like snores, I don't like antipsychotics, they don't work for me, benzodiazepines actually work for my panic disorder, when I need them if I need them, but hey alright we're all going to be damaged by them permanently for the rest of our lives and that's it apparently we are just Bound to Die right? It's sick I'm sick and tired of all of this fear-mongering, there are people that need them, and it's so cringe-worthy to see all of these people that are literally not willing to listen to the truth, they just want to go by other people's either truths or false truths, and go with it for what?

Muscle cramps, flushing, neuropathy in my feet' legs and hands, extremely bad cognitive issues, memory loss, malaise, 24/7 fatigue, high anxiety and insomnia...like I do not sleep if I do not take .25 of alprazolam. Trust me when I say I don't want to be on that poison. Trying to run my business has been extremely difficult since I got tick bite 2 years ago. I'm 13 years sober from alcohol. I'm in AA, have a sponsor, sponsor women, I have 2 home groups and go to 5 meetings a week and very involved. If I don't sleep, I don't function. So yeah...alprazolam is high on my list to get rid of. If you don't know (and you don't know) my personal on going health battles, then you should keep your opinions to yourself.

I would liquid taper. It’s been a God send for me. You are on such a low dose, it won’t take long and you can lead your own decreases. With all that you’ve been through, your strength shines and will shine in your jump. I’m liquid/water tapering and so glad I found this method.

Man our medical system totally sucks. Please do a video on what doctors are doing to the chronic pain community. Most people with serious pain conditions are being abandoned and cold turkey or quick tapers. But get this ..most are on benzios and opiods. First they are told you cannot take both anymore so choose. This after decades on both drugs. If you have arachnoiditis or crps you were prescribed both. Everyone chooses to stay on the pain med so they can walk and semi function. They cut you off the benzos cold turkey most of the time. Then they taper the pain meds anyway. Please look into this . I made the same mistake with my Xanax taper. Split the pills in halves and quarters for a few weeks and then jump. Boy was I wrong. I've got BIND symptoms now from that at 13 years off and housebound disabled.. I can't wear shoes either. I wear Crocs and slip in shoes. Wearing shoes gives me worse head pressure. I already have bad head pressure and wearing shoes makes it worse.

I experienced a lot of this without ever taking benzos. Upper cervical spine / proprioceptive issues are a common factor, but I have a number of ideas about this. Mind you, like most of the other cases on this channel, he was on these things for decades before it ever became a problem. This tells me, rather than aging or some sort of threshold or a certain constellation of factors aligning and acting as an irreversible sensitizer, that it may actually be some sort of binary agent or synergism with new environmental factors.

I've had chronic insomnia since my early 20's and I'm now 65. It caused all kinds of health problems for me, including crohn's disease. Just a ton of GI problems. If you never sleep, you are sick all the time. I've taken ambien on this schedule for 30 years. One night on two off. It worked for me. Some nights I didn't sleep but I would tell myself, ok tomorrow night I get an ambien. Most of my GI problems have gone away and now that I'm old, my insomnia is way better. Just sayin that sometimes meds help but you'll get addicted to anything you use constantly.

I will never dismiss the reality of withdrawal from benzos, but this man finds the most worse case scenarios and interviews them to benefit his business. I have come on and off benzos several times without major issues, but of course, I don't use for years. Maybe a few months at most and it's always safe to taper off no matter how long the use is. Most people can come off these drugs relatively easy and don't require the expensive help from a guy like this. These videos are scare tactics that prey on scared and vulnerable people to enhance the clientele of his practices. I'm not saying he doesn't help people, but you local doctors and psychiatrists that accept your insurance can guide you through a safe taper as well.

I love your channel don't get me wrong I know you're not out there to hurt anybody or anything like that I can tell by your demeanor, but at the same time there are people commenting that they have been bed-bound their entire lives and that they would rather never see sunlight again, then take a medication that's going to cause what this man had. Antipsychotics are almost always part of psychiatric treatment adding aswell antidepressant and benzos. To my humble opinion benzos are not the only harming ones, and are almost never taken in consideration as differential diagnosis to non convulsive seizures that can be the cause of many symptoms that maybe interpreted as suffering an altered state of mind. @@aliciafinch6310 I have no residual effects. I am doing great. I was put on a benzo by a quack doctor for a thyroid issue. Another doctor took me off two weeks later cold turkey. My world turned upside down, pacing, no sleep, seizures etc. I ended up in ER and was torchured for months on end for the next year, before I figured out what was happening, and the Ashton method. Because of a conversion mix up from klonopin to Valium, I ended up on a high dose, so it took me over a year, maybe closer to two years to taper. I wanted to go extremely slow, so that I wasn’t left with any after effects to my body and brain. Taking the daily taper was minutes of my time, and I didn’t feel insomnia or anxiety. A pain free withdrawal. To be free is an amazing feeling. There wasn’t a ‘community’ of support when it happened to me, and every doctor looked at me ‘sideways’. Needless to say I don’t trust doctors, or anything they pedal. I am so glad that there is help available now to save lives and expose these drugs.

@@europeanamerican I was on Xanax for two weeks (Dr said for my thyroid). Then C/T’d by the dr. I feared taking it again. After much pacing and sleepless I was put on klonopin (I believe it was 4mg). I tried going to a rehab, they tapered in two week time. Of course didn’t work. I found the Ashton method, and did a cross over to Valium 40mg. During the crossover I mixed up the math in the switch over, so I ended up on perhaps 50 mg V. I would blend/crush one pill, add water (two cups), then siphon off 2mil to throw away on the first day, 4mil the second day, 6 mil the third day and so on, and drink the remainder. After, I got off the first pill, I would start in on the next pill. Knocking off the morning afternoon pills first, and saving the evening on for last. I needed to sleep so I could work as I had no one to help me. I going to say that it took 18 months or longer (perhaps 2 years), but it was withdrawal free, and it worked with no residual effects. I will say a prayer for you! Stay strong, you’ve got this! ❤️

I started with dissolving one pill in 2 cups of water, then took a pharmacy syringe to draw off 2 mils and toss the 2 mils. The next night 4 mils, then 6 mils, and so on. It took a long time, but I never felt withdrawal. You can go faster than this, by doubling or tripling the amount drawn off. Just see how you feel and adjust accordingly. I had a doctor C/T me one time, and I know first hand the hell of that. My prayers are with you. I’ve been free of it for about eighteen plus years, and no ill effects. 🙏

There is a difference between addiction and dependence; dependence is when you are taking the prescribed amount by you doctor regularly, not getting high, functional, and your body becomes dependent on it; most people don't even know it exists until it happens to them. There are people out there like that, that is the problem right now, see you probably have a higher iq, you probably have some control over your Consciousness I can tell by the way you were typing, your demeanor, you're intelligent I'm not even going to doubt you, but there are people and actually the vast majority of people right now, that are out there disrespecting and telling people that are trying to spread light and positivity and healing amongst others, they are bashed for the fact that they didn't suffer as bad and they are saying trying to help people and telling them that hey, I didn't have that bad of a withdrawal I've been on whatever benzo for 15 or 20 years, I tapered within a month and I got off and I didn't have that many issues, there are people that really do have positive experiences, but then there are also the mass quantity of people that are saying you are lying, you didn't suffer, basically they are saying if you didn't suffer the way I did, you have to be lying. We don't want you in this group, we are reporting you, I literally seen it brother, I know it sounds sick but this is humanity. Not everybody is going to suffer the same symptoms, let your story be your story! Just like the title of this video, I believe this guy had a negative reaction, I actually know people that have had negative reactions to specific benzos but not other benzos, like I know one person that had an allergic reaction to Alprazolam but he took clonazepam and was perfectly fine, he tapered off after about 9 years, and had no issues. But with alprazolam? Even myself! Alprazolam for me, I've had some pretty bad withdrawal symptoms from it, clonazepam though, I didn't have extreme withdrawal symptoms, I could still sleep, without any support, I just had very very very very very very slight if not unnoticeable withdrawal symptoms. But the alprazolam? Forget about it but I was taking extremely high dosages to get through an opiate withdrawal for 2 weeks straight everyday, I mean extremely high dosages, so I expected rebound anxiety. Now you can ask your psychiatrist or diagnostician if it's possible that you can literally stress yourself out into a seizure that can even mimic epileptic disorders, they will look at you in the eyes and tell you yes that is totally possible. You Can Tell them I've never been on a benzo but I'm still having seizures from anxiety and stress, they will say yes that is completely possible it's medically true it's a fact. The fact that that is true means that all of these people if not a huge majority of them are spreading fear to the point where it's spreading like freaking herpes, and it's not fair because people that actually have decent experiences coming off of their benzo, or even multiple, they get off and it's been however long that they have been off, they say I've been all right! I've been doing pretty good! I haven't had any issues if not any at all! They are publicly bashed in front of these people in these groups, that is insanely screwed up in my opinion. I don't even think it should be allowed! The fear-mongering is what's stopping people from healing, it's not just the withdrawal or the recovery process itself, and yes like you said there are people that have allergic reactions to certain medications including benzodiazepines, I know people that have allergic reactions to certain diabetes medications, that had the same symptoms that this guy was talking about, and other medications, so why is it that benzos are the main culprit of everything it's just not right. It's Insanity I'm sick and tired of it to be honest with you, it's the sickest thing I have seen since a mass murder. Because people are destroying humans Minds that are actually trying to heal and have some hope in themselves that they can heal, and then there are also people that have certain psychiatric disorders that probably should be on these medications, that are now denying it because they saw the video that me and you were talking about right now, it's a one-and-done apparently. They don't want to be on these medications because they saw this one video because one person had an allergic reaction which actually is very rare, so it means that they will never take any psychiatric medication to help something that they actually have a very severe level of, to help them get through what they are going through, they're never going to do it now because they saw this video? It just shows that people are addicted to negativity. I mean I don't have to tell you you probably get it you probably understand that these freaking groups on Facebook and even KZbin etcetera even reddit, they are fear-mongering groups and they will tell you that you don't mean s*** if you have not suffered what they did not suffer from. And it's totally screwed up in my opinion I don't know about you but I think that is absolutely screwed up and you can look at the science, humans can stress themselves and exhaust themselves through anxiety and panic into a seizure or a form of epilepsy, they can do it without being on benzodiazepines have never even touched any benzodiazepines, they can still have these issues just because of pure stress and panic. And I have panic disorder I've had it since I was nine years old! Along with multiple traumas, 911 the first Tower getting hit, I saw it when I was a child, along with other traumas, look at my channel look at my videos, you will see what I'm talking about, but I don't like the fear-mongering the bashing that's going on right now yet all of the people that are doing good and successfully got off their benzodiazepines that didn't have these Mass allergic reactions, they're doing great! Even people that abused benzos to get high, they went to jail or prison or rehabs and detoxes, in 2 weeks after 15 years or 20 years of 30 mg of Alprazolam or clonazepam, abuse, they come out and I know people like this personally I've been in rehab with them, they come out in 2 weeks and they are new people. I still keep in touch with them they're doing fantastic, so what is the freaking problem that none of them can get interviewed? Why is none of that spread out there in a positive way? Why is there no hope for people why are the people that have successfully got off these medications not interviewed?

Doc do you agree cold turkey off Z drugs is worse than getting off benzos ? I was on ambian a decade went off with no withdrawal. So did my 91 year old mom. I do not understand what the hell is going on. I have many family members on and off Z drugs without problems. I am wondering if the drugs these days are different than they use to be. There is torture these days coming of multiple drugs. Even the opioids are different. Use to be four or 5 days of misery and you are off pain meds. Not anymore. People are suffering for months and even years getting off opiods. It did not use to be that way. So many suicides or going to the street because it is no longer a week of misery. People can handle withdrawal for a week. These days its taking months. That is why there is an opiod crisis no one addresses the difficulties of withdrawal. The misery that does not end . Sorry i keep commenting . A long video and i need to comment while listening so i do not forget.

Jesus Christ I have almost all those symptoms and I literally don't know what to do. I'm on constant seesaw on/off of only 2 mg diazepam for the moment knowing i need to come off them but being so sick off them that I end up taking one or half of 1 to calm me down mainly. I have those severe leg spasms on/off.....it goes through phases. I have the headaches and an itch around my forehead that is a nerve itch.... I am using piriton antihistamines to calm me down if I can as they calm me by tiring me but I can't get off these pills.... I'm not on the right dose to have enough to do a proper taper I think.....I don't know what to do either.....no doctor where I am will do a taper....
