Tapsoba sounds good. Though thought he may be out of reach this season, with Alonso staying on and perhaps bigger suitors. Good point - you buy Guehi for £70 million then the club will not make money on the player's value. Also he has had injuries and he is relatively short for a CB so the club could lose money on Guehi.

Tapsoba is better than Guehi imo. And he provides what we will miss when Schar is no longer in the team in that he is composed on the ball with very good distribution. Nothing against Guehi but he is not worth 60m nevermind 70m. I'd take Tapsoba for 40m - 50m, solid deal.

Don’t believe the club would go for Gomez, doesn’t fit the age profile from recent transfers and does tend to have injury issues. Tapsoba would interest me but I still think the Guehi deals possible. Chelsea need to offload so I’d be in for Madueke for a season long loan with an option to buy.

@@CHAMUNGERIn retrospect, he didn’t do badly for us - although his due diligence on Tonali was bad. Look at the players he brought in and all done quietly and without fuss. The likes of Isak, Tino, Tonali - and Minteh - all arrived without all the messing around we’ve had under Eales and Mitchell.

If this transfer window was under Mike Ashley there would be hell on so when do the new owners start to be come accountable?, end of the window I would say. There's a ton of money come in this year from finishing 7th, Adidas, Champions League, Noon other sponsors being added all the time, season tickets, merchandise, memberships the list goes on and on and 10 days to go and still we wait? Do the new owners just now wish to finish upper top half is that the new model because this is a million miles off a team wanting to go for it from 2024 on wards. I hope to be proven so wrong as a supporter I really am but time will tell and atm they are doing nothing to prove me wrong this window.
